"We're only tourists in this life" :: Phuket, Thailand Adventure Day 8

Day 8 Recap of our trip to Thailand for the Z's Turn 30!
{trip still available on Groupon- it is an amazing deal!}

On the 8th day of our trip we had our last scheduled tour
on our Affordable Asia tour from Groupon

Really enjoyed this Compact magazine that I found at the hotel:

What I Wore: glasses- c/o Bellinger via 10/10 Optics, top- from market in Bangkok, shorts- H&M, sandals- Target, bag- Forever 21 from Buffalo Exchange in NYC

The first stop on our last tour was the Laem Promthep View Point,
Wow this was beautiful!

Shout out to one of the women on our tour for taking these awesome pictures of us
with her Samsung,
I am a Apple girl, but the picture quality on Samsung is so much better...

I am obsessed with this temple surrounded by elephants

There were so many, of all shapes and sizes!
#collectiongoals

Our tour guide Audi explained that part of the Thai tradition includes wrapping trees
because they believe trees are also female or male and are spirits.
They wrap them as a way of protecting and admiring them.
If a person's wish comes true, they will bring the tree gifts, like a new dress if the tree is a girl.

Time for a Thai tea before our next stop!

Our next stop was Old Town,
this was such a cute town,
I love all the colors and the mix of architecture with European influence.

This town has tons of textile stores,
one more beautiful than the next!

We stopped to have a Thai Roti snack:

It was so delicious!

We stopped at this cute jewelry store

& I had to pick up one of these bracelets for 100 Baht, about $3 USD:

Love it!

While walking around I loved the format, branding, and merchandising of this Pink Flamingo store:

We also stopped by a pottery store that was full of amazing stuff!
I loved everything {especially the floor!}

I LOVE these chubby yoga ladies,
I bought one at the market but I really wish I got a bunch!

We had lunch at One Chun upon recommendation from our tour guide Audi,
I am so happy we took him up on his recommendation.
This was one of the best meals we ate during the whole trip!

The decor is so cute!

I told Charlie that this is the Asian version of me and Barry my pug:

I started with a kiwi smoothie and was shocked at the presentation,
it was so tasty!

I had some crab curry and Charlie had pork belly.
Both were SO GOOD.
This was definitely the best meal of our whole trip!

I thought it was funny that this town had a cat cafe!
It was closed when we were there but I did see some pretty Siamese kitties in the window!

I loved these floral velvet tops at a local store:

I had to take home the red one, I love the scalloped neckline!

Kinda wish I took home this tunic too...

I had to have yet another Thai tea but this one has grass jelly

I think this may have been my favorite Thai tea of the trip!

Before we left I met this amazing kitty at the pharmacy!
He sauntered out and I nearly melted.
Such a pretty kitty!
The woman working at the store said "he wants to go out"
and then she grabbed a leash and said "he needs to be tied up because he takes off around the corner"

Such a cool cat!
