All Hallow's Eve

Last weekend we went to our annual family Halloween Party at my Aunt Loretta's house,

My sister Audrey was inspired by this group of "lads" 

who dressed up as traffic cones in London:

So my mom decided that we didn't need to "buy" costumes, 

that she could make all of them...

This was the first try:

I said that I thought it needed some more structure at the bottom,

and this was Version #2:

& Version #3...

After mom put her blood, sweat, tears, manicure and 1 day off from work into this cones, 

we embraced the cones and became the "BasilCONES"

 I guess the moral of the story is find yourself someone who will dress (& STAY dressed)

as a cone with you & dance.

My Uncle was a leprechaun and joined the dance party:

My Aunt had this magnet on her fringe and it was so accurate it was scary!

I love that the ice in our drinks were little skulls and bones, so on theme! 

We didn't stay in cone form all night because they were quite hard to negotiate in a crowded party,

or sit down, and we could not stand by the fire...

I love these little Halloween ZALO loafers for sale on Poshmark from Misskattlynn,

may need them for next year! 

I probably shared these "Ghost Fashions" from GemmaCorrell in the past but it is so good!

is so cute!

Mischief Night.

A little late in the season I guess but we finally decorated for Halloween! 

We don't have a lot of decorations but I love what we do have! 

These little pups dressed up for Halloween are just too cute!

Although I wish one was a pug the second one looks like my parents dog Stanley!

New York bagels... cosmic reward for being alive in Manhattan...

I love this quote that I saw in Time Out New York:

 

I tried the corner bagel shop next to my office "Pick A Bagel"

 Got my usual- an everything bagel with lox cream cheese, 

it was okay... not my favorite NYC bagel ever.

Brooklyn Bagel is still the best in my opinion.

This Walmart sweater has become one of my favorites this fall!

October Humble Beauty Opinion #59

Last Saturday of the month = my monthly Humble Beauty Opinion! 

Let's start with this month's Ipsy bag, 

& it was a good one!

I love the mask design on the bag itself and the products were good:

I love trying Oribe products they always smell so nice! 

I was not a fan of the Sundays polish, it was too gelly and not opaque enough after 3+ coats.

I love the Make Up Forever foundation and think I will eventually purchase a full size.

I love the Nomad shadow "Norrsken NO3", such a pretty color, 

wish I could try the blue shade too! 

The Beau Gachis eyebrow brush is nice too, 

I have been using it for my brows and enjoying it.

This month's Sephora Play seems like a good one too but I still need to try these, 

my bags always arrive so late in the month.

When I was cleaning out my beauty area I found the insert to one of my first birchbox orders and found the name to the perfume that I grew to be obsessed with. 

It was a skinny bottle with no label on it and a light green liquid inside. 

I am pretty sure it was Skinny Chic from Harvey Prince and I decided that if I could find it I would purchase it to see if that is the scent from 3+ years ago that I keep thinking about. 

& I found it on Harvey Prince and it was on sale for $22!

Can't wait to try this and see if it is the scent I loved!

Speaking of scents I really want to try the "Aura" scent by Mugler after seeing it on jessicamatlin from FatMascara's Instagram stories, 

I love "Alien" & "Angel" so I am sure I will enjoy this one too! 

Fatmascara also ranked this Kevyn Aycoin "Sensual Skin Enhancer" as one of their all time faves and I really want to try it! 

I love when Marc Jacobs does the leopard packaging!

It is so pretty, especially that eyeshadow palette!

KL Polish just released their Zodiac nail polish collection and there are quite a few that I love, 

I want the Aquarious 2, Virgo (of course) and Scorpio, 

the formula of these are just so good! 

I am also adding the Blender Defender to my wish/shopping list perfect for travel!

Also comes in the beautyblender Blender's Delight kit!

This month's empties- 

what I used up, loved, hated & all my humble opinions in between:

bath: Dove white beauty bar- a classic! Even FatMascara agrees! / Wet n' Wild "Under The Sheets" makeup remover wipes & elf "Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths" these are both some of my faves that I need to repurchase ASAP / Formula 10.0.6 "Three Times Sublime" wash + scrub + mask, I loved this most as an exfoliator but it was good every way! / Degree "Motionsense" deodorant it said that this was "ultraclear" but I would have to disagree, it definitely left marks and residue... it's a no from me / hey honey "come undone" makeup remover- I liked this to take off my eye makeup but it is better to put on before any water / Trust Fund Beauty "Lipgasm"- not going to lie I used this for my lips & my whole face it was a nice scrub with a hydrating coconut oil like finish on the face / Revlon Colorsilk in "Intense Red"- been loving this color a little brighter than my normal burgundy 

beauty: Kate Spade "Walk on Air" rollerball- I bought this before going to the West Coast a couple of years ago and finally used it up, I love the scent but have decided I am not a fan of rollerballs / OUAI "Volume Spray"- I love the scent of these products! I would purchase if/when I run out of my hair products / e.l.f. "BB Cream"- such a good BB Cream, one of my favorites added this to my foundation to make the color match better & it worked perfectly! / Travel container from Target- have to get rid of this, I keep giving it a chance and it keeps leaking out of the top / Mary Kay "foundation primer sunscreen"- I liked this a lot! Mary Kay makes some good products / Algenist "Liquid Collagen"- At first I thought this was making me break out into hives but I don't think so after continued use, I liked it but don't think it would be something I would buy
