thrift adventures in Trenton!

I mean, every adventure in Trenton needs to start with a great cup of coffee

& a fun red, white, and blue outfit shoot before it starts to pour...

What I Wore: glasses- BonLook, lips- NYC "Red Hots", necklace- Charming Charlie's, tank- 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, shorts- Walmart, flats- thrifted, bag- vintage Dooney & Bourke via Poshmark

Then it really started to come down...

We've been adding fun details to our home lately!
I love this "Eat" sign that we got at Michael's craft store, they were on sale for 60% off!

& we finally hung these copper bowls that I thrifted awhile ago

I had to go back and get the Bar version of the sign from Michaels!

While thrifting in Trenton, I found a dream china cabinet at the Rescue Mission in Trenton,
on Friday's it is 50% off furniture too!

Managed to fit in my car and bring this baby home!

It is perfect for my hubby's beer glass collection!

Also at the Rescue Mission of Trenton,
I fell in love with this potato cabinet!

So cute in the sunroom!
Especially for like $7 with the 50% off on Friday's!

We also got a new shelf from Home Depot in the basement for all my school stuff,
so much better!

My sister picked up this super cute closet from Forever Useful Furniture,
I'm excited to see how she will style it since she is so good at the DIY!

So much good stuff wherever you thrift!

Humble Beauty Opinion #32 June & July Recap!

This might be a long one since last month we took a break from our regularly scheduled Humble Beauty Opinions to showcase some amazing tips for all my chicks with glasses with help from Samaries and her awesome MakeupForGlasses Instagram!

The time finally came when my Bitter.Lace.Beauty "Prism" rainbow highlighter was delivered!
I have been stalking and waiting and stalking and waiting...

It is even more beautiful in person!

Even though I am just lifeguarding these days, I still manage to pop on a rainbow highlight...

Kinda hard to see without motion so I made a little video:

So beautiful!
Love it!

Another fun highlighter that I had to get was the "Miss Independent" from B'ellegant Cosmetics

I was on the boarder about getting it but when I saw this swatch on their instagram
I was like, "Damn that is beautiful!"

Love love love

I also picked up the Pastel Princess Highlighter, it is so pigmented and looks great on!

Yes I had to take advantage of this year's ColourPop Birthday gift!
I loved Birthday Girl last year and had to get Birthday Boy!

Also picked up "Taurus" lippie from their Kathleen Lights collab

Another YouTuber that I love their collabs is JaclynHill,
I love all her products {I have suffered from a total "Jac Attack"}

When I saw that Becca Cosmetics was bringing back her highlighters in split pans I was pumped!
I passed on the last palette since I already have the full size Champagne Pop and love it

I really wanted the new highlighter Prosecco Pop and Pamplemousse blush

So many free goodies!

It is beautiful!

When I saw that MakeupBeautyBudget on Instagram posted
that Makeup Geek shadows were on sale on BeautyBay,
I knew I had to cross some off my wishlist!

I love the Venom shade, but they are all good!

When I saw this makeup look that MakeupGeek posted on their instagram,
I knew I had to order some of these shades too!

& needed a new Z-Palette to house all these beauties!

Quite a collection of Z-Palettes these days!

Also depotted my Wet & Wild single shadow in Brûlée
to make this the perfect start to a new palette!

I have discovered perhaps the best hair dye color I have tried- Revlon "Burgundy Black"
The PERFECT mix of the red and the black that I have been loving these days!
I picked up three more NYX Lip Lingerie colors, I have been loving these, all of them are good!

I found this hobnail vase at Goodwill {inspired by Michelle's Bridal Shower decor}
Perfect to display some of my liquid lips!

At Ulta I fell in love with the new Urban Decay Metallized lipsticks,
"Cruel" {was sold out} and "Conspiracy"

I picked up a new Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray {this stuff is GOLD}
and the "Conspiracy" shade
& a free eye pencil

In the last Ulta catalog it had a little note to pick up a free Benefit brow product,
{make sure you read the fine print in yours}
so you know I had to go and try one out!
I have yet to use it since I am in the middle of a few, but I am exited!

I was happy to find the essie 1000th shade "Aim to Misbehave"
such a pretty yellow, been wearing it again and again

I also picked up the Milani Earthly Elements palette and it is SO GOOD!
I have been wearing this daily!
& I got the darker brow kit from Milani {these are great too!}

Two months of humble beauty means two months of Ipsy to talk about!
I loved June's bag, especially the Hey Honey Moisturizer and the Urban Decay "Fireball Shadow"

In the July Ipsy I loved the bag itself and the Meet Matt(e) shadow
and the "No Filter" Trust Fund Beauty polish is so nice!

I was also lucky enough to get the Loreal Influenster box to try all these products for free!
So far I love the eyeshadows and the eye liner!
I already know I love the mascara.
The brow product is not as pigmented as I would like and the brush it comes with is not stiff enough.

I also got a Walmart Beauty Box last month!

I love all these products,
most are ones I already purchase and am happy to have travel sizes!

Beauty Wishlist:

I love the shades in this Anastasia Beverly Hills "Moon Child Glow Kit",
especially the purples and the green!

I love red eyeshadow but it sometimes hard to find,
I love this "Homicide" shadow from Devinah Cosmetics

I also want the Unicorn Tears and Druid shadows from Strobe Cosmetics,
so pretty!

I am intrigued by the Grav3yardgirl "Swamp Queen" Tarte Palette,
I swatched it in Ulta and it is beautiful
and I am not sure that any shades are unique enough to spend the $$ with my current collection.

I also want to try this Wet & Wild purple gloss from the back to school collection,
as seen on CoffeeBreakWithDani's Instagram

I also love this lip combo as seen on The Makeup Ali on Instagram

& I love this "Wonderland" shade from Gerard Cosmetics as seen on thelipswatch on instagram

The last two months of empties:
From left to right: Aquaphor- stuff is great for tattoos, it does break out my husband, but works for me / Bath & Body Works "Mango Mandarin" lotion- this stuff is OLD but still smells good and was nice to use up / Dove Advanced Care- loved this little size for travel and it smells nice and works / Neutrogena "Cool Dry Sport" sunscreen- a good sunscreen with an SPF of 70 for my pale skin / Neutrogena hand cream- a great cream, very thick / Sally Hansen "Ultimate Shield"- I love this as a base coat, repurchased over and over / Seche Vite top coat- this stuff is AMAZING. Dries instantly and lasts a long time. Love it but it is hard for me to find these days. / Olay Regenerist moisturizer- I like this but not sure I would ever purchase / Urban Decay "All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray"- this stuff makes my makeup last for 2 days! No joke, it is amazing. / Wet to Go Beauty "Gelled Oil Cleanser"- I liked this little sample it did a nice job taking off my makeup / Wet n Wild "Mega Liner" liquid liner- this is good for the price! / Primark liquid eyeliner {no label anymore} the product it self was good but the brush was so hard I had to use the one from the Wet n Wild liner / Neutrogena "Healthy Volume" mascara- this was good! I loved the brush and it lasted a long time / Becca Radiant Skin Creamy Concealer in "Banana"- I got this stuff on HauteLook and it was TERRIBLE. The worse concealer that I have ever used. It was thick and hard and not blendable and just awful- do not recommend. / NYC Sun'N'Bronze in "707 Fire Island Tan"- I can't believe I used this up but I like this bronzer, it is a little sparkly but I like it like that for all over the face / Lady Gaga "Fame"- I liked this but nothing to write home about / Lacoste "Eau De Lacoste"- pretty sure this is a cologne but I like it! / Jergens sunless tan- this made me streaky and faded strangely- husband hated it / Dr.Jart + BB Cream- I liked this sample, used it for a couple of days and had good coverage for a BB cream / Elf BB Cream- this stuff is a new fave! Great coverage and 20 SPF. I love it and have rephrased, thank you to my Zia for introducing me to it! / Maybelline "Age Rewind" in Brighter- an absolute fave, some days I only wear this, instantly makes you look awake. / Laneige BB Cushion- not my right shade, I used it as a liquid contour, I like the way this smells... is that weird? Overall it is good, but not sure I would buy it / Trader Joes "Coconut Body Butter" I love this stuff, but if you use too much it balls off and looks weird / Not Your Mother's "Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo"- this stuff is good, I like it. Do not like the hairspray from this line but this is good. / Pantene Hairspray- I like the hold from this spray

Woah that was a lot, but at least I am using up some of my stash.

Other empties:
(2) Revlon ColourSilk Luminista "Burgundy Black"- new favorite color! Must buy backups! / Vidal Sassoon Ultra Vibrant Color "Deep Velvet Violet"- also a great shade! / Mane 'n Tail Shampoo & Conditioner- I have had this FOR YEARS, happy to use it up, it is suppose to help your hair grow faster, not sure about that but this is a good set!

Of course I used up some of my face masks from Korean H-Mart, these are all good!
Especially the honey and avocado!
Love them all for $1.40 each and just restocked!

Candle empties: Mahogany Driftwood & Coastal Woods from Walmart- love both!
(2) Bling candles from Dollar Tree- I love vanilla scent!
Wild Rose from Primark- soooo good for 90 cents! Have to go and restock!

So many empties, so much new stuff I love, and of course so much on my wishlist!
Makeup is just too much fun!

Until next month, Happy Humble Beauty Opinion!
