Beach Waves #3: Bumble & Bumble & Tropical Wear it Wed!

The third & final installment of the Battle of the Beach Waves is around the hyped
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

I owned this spray many years ago {like middle school status}
& since saved and got it again to see if it was really the best beach spray out there...

& since I am currently on vacay this is also a Wear it Wednesday featuring this floral/bird tropical top

What I Wore: glasses- c/o Firmoo, top- for sale in my Etsy shop "InTheLeopardCloset" {$13}, shorts- Cotton On, flats- vintage
Makeup: face- Covergirl foundation "buff beige", concealer- Maybelline Instant Age Rewind "Light Pale", all over bronzer- NYC "hamptons radiance", contour bronzer- Too Faced "Chocolate Soleil", blush- Too Faced "Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer, blush- Revlon "Haute Pink", highlighter- the Balm "Mary Lou Manizer". eyes- shadows: Bare Minerals 5 in 1 shadow in "Divine Wine" via ipsy, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, inner corner- Physician's Formula "Natural Eyelight", eyeliner- Urban Decay 24/7 in "Rockstar", mascara- Too Faced "Better than Sex", lips- Too Faced "Naked Dolly", hair- Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

This is the last installment of my Battle of the Beach Waves mini series!
Over all the Marc Anthony beach spray is my favorite!
I love the scent and it was a great ipsy product.
Not Your Mother's Beach Babe is probably my least favorite but I use it frequently...
and I think the result may be the best in this trial
Although Bumble and bumble is the priciest version, I am not sure if I enjoy it as much as I remember.
Please let me know if I am missing any AMAZING beach sprays!
I love texture spray since my hair doesn't really do anything naturally.
I am thinking about getting the Lust version when one of these runs out!
If you have tried it let me know what you think!
Happy Wear it Wednesday from Saint Thomas!!

Beach Waves #1: Ipsy Score- Marc Anthony

While I am away enjoying the sun with my family in Saint Thomas,
I wanted to do a mini series of the Beach Spray texturing sprays
that I have been playing with this summer,
I love beach sprays because my hair does nothing without product

So over the next three days I will be featuring these three beach sprays with mini reviews
and so you can see what they look like in outfit posts!
#1: Marc Anthony Dream Waves via ipsy
#2: Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturing Sea Salt Spray
#3: Bumble and bumble Surf Spray

So the first spray is Marc Anthony Dream Waves that I got from an ipsy bag,
I love the scent of this spray!

What I Wore: glasses- c/o Firmoo, necklace- baublebar, top- vintage, shorts- Cotton On, flats- Prabal Gurung for Target

While editing I found this beauty on my phone,
I don't know how this man puts up with my blogging, shopping, and being all around a weirdo...

& I had to take off my glasses to show you this eye makeup look, I was pretty damn proud of it!
Using my Lorac "Pocket Pro"- such amazing shadows & I love the look that they give!
So happy I picked this up at Kohls for only like $12!

In the past I have continued to rock this combination with some neon pants from the Gap,

This outfit is a repeat from last year when we were moving into our new house!
& it never got blogged...
{with Rivet & Sway glasses & Kate Spade bag}

This week's Mani Monday for Glitter & Gloss link up is a mixture of metals with Sally Hansen "Rose Copper" & OPI "DS Classic" accent glitter

Let me know if you like this idea and would like to see other posts like this!

A story about shoes

I explained that I have been wanting Birkenstock shoes since middle school
but never pulled the trigger

When I saw these silver Sam & Libby for Target Birk look-a-likes, I knew I needed them!
{also ordered the black ones too!}
The woman in the store saw the silver shoes when I was purchasing them
& said "I am so mad at you"
I said "Why?" & she said, "Everyone has been trying those shoes on and they don't fit!"
I said, "And they are sold out online too! I can't believe you have the silver in store"
She said, "That is the only pair"
SCORE!

When I got home I was already wearing them & the hubby said, "Are those new?"
& I explained the above story and he paused for like 10 minutes and said "I don't really like them"
I think he was surprised when I said "You are not suppose to"
But I love them!

What I Wore: glasses- Kensie, necklaces- gift from student, dress- trashyvintage, bag- vintage Dooney & Bourke {gift for my Masters from my Little Dara from my sorority}

We went to the Vault in Yardley, PA
& had their Coffee Stout- I normally am not a coffee beer fan but this was delicious!

& finally picked up this piece from Nicolet Schenck!
It has been on my wish list for about 6 months now!

It is perfect in our entry way!
The house print is from MsSpanner on etsy! {LOVE her work!}

& went to The Bent Spoon in Princeton, NJ for some basil ice cream =)
