"Let's Get Creative"- Wear it Wednesday!

**WARNING** If you have not seen the "Don't Hug Me I'm Scared" video,
where the title of this post comes from... be forewarned... it gets dark, graphic, and very very strange

What I Wore: glasses- Kensie, lips- Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm "Elusive", top- for sale in my etsy shop "InTheLeopardCloset" {$12}, shorts- Gap, flats- vintage, rings- handmade by Alicia Lynn Jewelry

I am loving these rings from Alicia Lynn Jewelry
They are my first "stacking" style rings & I am in love!

Charlie the hubby brought me these garnet stones that he found at work while digging a site
{he is an environmental scientist}

I reached out to Alicia Lynn Jewelry to see if she had any ideas on what to do with these stones to make them into jewelry to be able to appreciate them,
She came up with these designs & I loved the idea of stacking to be able to wear all of them
or only a few at a time!

I was so excited when they arrived!

I love them!

rewind to the 4th

The 4th of July is my second favorite holiday
{second to New Years Eve- 3rd to my birthday if that counts!}

We did the usual for the 4th- Neighborhood picnic at Oak Tree Lodge in Wall, NJ
complete with homemade sand dessert from one of my neighbors- this always makes my summer official!

The day after the 4th of July is always the Lobster Fest at my neighbors house,
I look forward to this lobster all year long

I took my Red, White & Blue outfit to another level with my eye makeup all weekend!
liners: Stila "Peacock" via birchbox / Shimmer Eyeliner by Nicka K New York via ipsy
shadows: Maybelline Color Tattoo "30 Pomegranate Punk" / Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo "Moonbeam & Unicorn" via ipsy / NYX "Morocco" via shopamylynn on instagram
lips: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in "Romantic"

I worked at the Oak Tree for 10+ years & hopped back on the raw clam bar!

Bill Nye Live in NYC!

I got to see Bill Nye speak in NYC on Friday!
A scientist's dream come true!

When my Big from my sorority AXD brought this to my attention, I knew we had to go!

After being harassed by this character on the train...

& got a glimpse into his "rap career"
Yes that is me squished against the window...

Made better by some margarita pizza from Eatly!

& free pops!

What I Wore: glasses- BonLook, lips- Revlon Just Bitten in "Sweatheart", top- vintage, Mrs necklace- Kate Spade {gift from sister}, monogram- BaubleBar, shorts- Gap, flats- ModCloth

I was so excited!
He is an idol!

The place was decorated so cool!
"Did you know" science facts lined the walls

& bow tie selfies!

& of course I had to get a shirt!
Went with the I <3 Bill Nye one!

My big Amanda, me, & our friend Cara!

It was so much fun!
It was inspirational, and awesome to see my science idol!
He spoke about the need for strong scientists & Bill Nye got a call from Neil deGrasse Tyson!
I think the best part was when he would be in the middle of an experiment he would say, "it's cold" and the audience would reply "how cold is it?"!
It was just like being IN a Bill Nye show!

Check out Cara's blog "That Flighty Temptress" for her recap!
