Sunday Shopping: little vacay!

Last weekend we took a little road trip to a B&B in North NJ called Skyland Manor in Ringwood
{that was when I blogged about the perfect road trip bag, & then got it as a surprise a few days ago}
Our stay was nice and the castle was stunning,
it was a really nice weekend,
with much needed relaxation

the amazing craftsmanship of this castle was breathtaking,
from the detailed carvings in the ceiling to the marbled fireplace, it was beautiful!
My favorite part of the property had to be this hobbit house,
Made for a perfect place for outfit pics!

What I Wore: glasses- BonLook, lips- MAC "Candy Yum Yum", sweater- Romwe, pants- H&M, flats- Old Navy

We then traveled to the city of Warwick, NY,
hence why this is a Sunday Shopping post- such cute little boutiques & unique pieces that I picked up!

Lucky for me the bar that the husband wanted to try didn't open until 12,
so that left us an hour to browse the shops!

The first shop "Style Council" carried really pretty pieces from designers like Kensie,
which is a little out of my price range & not quite my style,

but let me tell you,
that sales rack… AMAZING.
beautiful dresses that made me wish I had somewhere to wear them,
& this fur baby,
When I saw it, I was like "This is weird, very soft, would I wear it?"
It was originally $85 & on sale for $19.
I left without it,
& then made the hubby take me back for it after thinking about it for a while!

Although I love my fur that I got at Style Council,
the best part was the leopard carpet in the dressing room,
instant inspiration for my stairs to my attic closet {& the hubby said I could get it!}
now currently in search for the perfect leopard!

The next shop we went to was blue, which I am pretty sure is owned by the same people as Style Council,

They had some very interesting pieces,
including this monkey print tunic dress

& these Aerosoles loafers,
but the piece that I was extremely attracted to was on the sale rack outside
{which drew me in like a moth to the flame…}
was this asian inspired tasseled cardigan

I love this print & this color combo
I knew it had to be mine!
& it was on sale for $20!
After getting my fill of shopping & taking home some really interesting pieces for my wardrobe
{you will be seeing both of these in upcoming outfits!},
we went exploring the bar/food scene in this cute little town,
First stop was Eddie's Roadhouse for some brews and some apps,
I loved the crispy bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers!

Then we stopped by Yesterdays for a cocktail & to try their escargot
{eh… is all I can say about that…}

I had such an awesome weekend exploring with this handsome man =)

Then we went to my parents house to pick up the pups and went to the Belmar Fishing Club,
for some more apps & cocktails!

Then mom wanted to take "Family photos" since all of us were together,
including Michelle our neighbor/5th sister

We continued taking some family photos,
until my dad figured out that the piano in the corner plays itself.
HILARIOUS.
I could not stop laughing.
I love Sundays.

humble beauty opinion #4

I think I may make humble beauty opinion a monthly post
to share my recent beauty purchases and favorites!

Let's start with this months ipsy,
I am always excited for ipsy to be delivered each month!
This month I am loving:
 the lip stick bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in "Get Ready" {been wearing this non stop}
I have also been wearing the Be a Bombshell eyeshadow palette in "Bora Bora"
& I tried out the Nicole by OPI Roughles polish in "On What Grounds" for this weeks mani monday!

I was also selected for the Influenster Vox Box!
{I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes}

The two products that I am most excited to try are the lipstick from NYC in "Forever Fuchsia"{correction- already been wearing this! like a good dupe for MACs "Candy Yum Yum"}
I am also excited to the Rimmel London Stay Matte foundation!
I am currently using the "Yaby" liquid foundation in Buff from ipsy a few months ago & enjoying it!

I also wanted to discuss sample products that I got through subscription services
that I have or will be purchasing / can't live without anymore:
Kate Spade "Twirl" / Be a Bombshell lip crayon in "Hot Damn" / Viva La Juicy "La Fleur" / Spackle tinted primer by "Laura Geller" / "the Porefessional" by benefit / "Hot Mama" by the Balm

I've also been loving these beauty fixation lip stick touchup q-tips where you break one end so makeup remover flows into the other tip! I just discovered them in my stash and have been using them to take off stubborn eye makeup! Works like magic!

Speaking of the Balm "Hot Moma" I have hit pan on my sample so I was so excited to find the Balm on hautelook! Along with others that I have been wanting to try!
Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette {$18}
Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter/Shadow {$12}
Hot Mama Blush/Shadow {$10}

I also ordered the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush {$21}
I have been looking for the perfect foundation brush & I have heard nothing but good things about Sigma,
so excited to use this!

I also ordered some stuff from my good old friend birchbox
I had to get these oversized barrettes, I can't wait to throw them in my hair & rock them!
I wanted to order the Sumita Brow Base {I use it as a concealer pencil} for me & my sisters,
 but it is out of stock =(
I did get me & my sisters a beautyblender!
I have one already & I LOVE it!
Perfect for any liquid foundation & flawless coverage!

I have also been trying two new blushes this month,
Not really sure how I feel about this Physicians Formula blush,
the color pay off is not that great...

I have been wanting to try this Maybelline master Hi Light in "20 Pink Rose" & with a couple of coupons the price was right!
When I first put it on I was like "Ok, did that do anything"
but when I went out and caught my reflection, the highlight is so pretty!
It is almost sun kissed and beautiful!
Even the husband asked why my makeup looked different and so summery!
I love it!

Any beauty products that I should be trying?
Let me know!
