Fashion School Diaries: Sassy Snake

Man, this semester is tough,
I forgot what the stress of being a full time student is like,
this shefinds meme on Instagram is scary relatable:

Coffee is completely necessary to survive my Monday schedule:

I loved both of these memes too:

The buildings of FIT are so old,
but they are filled with inspiration, I love wondering around.
I've been loving these Benjamin Moore student window displays:

Speaking of colors,
we recently had a class about dyeing and printing in my Textile Science class.
We learned about screen printing and our professor shared this example
from an old silk screen frame from an old FIT shirt, I love the vintage mascot!

& we had a dye lab:

We also learned about Macbeth Light Boxes.
these light boxes have various light sources including incandescent, florescent,
simulated daylight and UV.
Designers and dye technicians use these tools to be able to see colors in different light sources
and make sure they are getting the results they want.
It is also important that customers will be satisfied with that color blouse in the store,
 at work and outside.
It was so interesting to see the differences in color between light sources all in one place:

Don't get me wrong, even though fashion school is surprisingly stressful,
I am loving it & doing well:

Fashion school makes me appreciate fashion so much more,
I love this display at the Textile Building on 5th Ave:

I've been passing the Textile Building on my way to get an amazing "Taste Test" Poke Bowl
at PokeChan on 5th Ave

IT IS SO GOOD!

Wore some "Sassy Snake" print for fashion school adventures:

What I Wore: glasses- c/o Glasseslit, necklace- Fashnvictmboutique, top- Altuzurra for Target, jeans- American Apparel, shoes- ASOS {thrifted}

These meme posted by my friend Walter on Facebook almost made me laugh cry,
change the age to 29 and this is totally me:

& home to this little cuddle bug already in the sheets on my side of the bed:

He is so cute,
one of the best parts of coming home
😌

EYE got a mani!

I can't even remember the last time I had a professional mani!
I have been painstakingly painting my own nails weekly/biweekly,
 so I decided to #TreatMyself
to an EYE mani
#obviously.

I am so in love with how it came out!
{ring is from Forever 21, a couple of years ago}

My mani inspiration has been a long time coming from these saved instagram pics:
Top 2 + Bottom Left: glamoptometrist on Instagram

Apparently this mani has been on my wishlist for a while,
I found this inspo pic from a Refinery 29 post in 2015...

I have also been rocking out to these two songs recently:
Macklemore "Corner Store"- they shout out Hi-Chews in the chorus!
& "Beg for It" by Zuri Marley, this song is MY JAM, I can't get enough!

Added both to my Spotify 2017 Jams

Disruptive Camouflage for TPRFM @ NCBC Micro Market!

Last Sunday we checked out the

It was very micro, maybe 5 or so booths,
but it was a fun little adventure,
always made better with a good beer!

I only picked up 6 sweet stickers from one of the booths,
there were no vintage clothing stands which is always my favorite to browse.
I also had the Neshaminy Creek Blueberry Gose which was refreshing

Wore some "disruptive camo"

What I Wore: glasses- c/o Bellinger via 10/10 Optics, lips- Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Mini Lip Gloss Sticks in "Nudist", necklace- Hunt & Orchard {gift from hubby}, tank- Walmart, cardigan-  boutique in Princeton - gift from hubby {in college}, pants- Gap, flats- Marc Jacobs {gift from hubby}, bag- vintage Dooney & Bourke

I always think of disruptive camouflage when I wear zebra print,
it is such an interesting concept in Biology/Ecology:
{source: wikipedia.org}

Besides some super cool stickers at the Micro Mart,
I have picked up other goodies over the last couple of months:
1. Did a little damage at Target recently, I picked up the leopard Who What Wear blazer {I LOVE IT!}, new red velvet pant {I have to get rid of my Altuzurra x Target red velvet pants, wore HERE, they are shading and have lost shape, #rip}, 2 velvet Mossimo tops with ruffle sleeves {These are so cute!}
2. $3 plaid candles from Target, love the scent of these and they are so cute!
3. Finally got the "Never Regular" pouch from Redbubble that I blogged about in August, it was so hard to pick which size but I ended up getting the large one. Also ordered the "Let's raise our glasses" sticker from MadiD on Redbubble that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago
+ got 20% off for Black Friday
4. Kate Spade stud earrings from the Kate Spade Outlet, they were only like $14!
5. When I first saw this star bracelet from Hunt & Orchard on Instagram, I immediately thought about how cute it would be as a necklace, when I commented that idea, she sent me a picture of it made into a necklace! I had to have it, and I love it! Will be so perfect for any outfit this holiday season!
6. LuLaRoe Irma bird tunic from "Leave the Woe" group on Facebook
I have wanted this pattern for a while now and happy to have it for cheaper!
7. I love this watermelon top as seen on twentiesgirlstyle on Instagram
had to pick it up for like $9 from shein.com

This meme from bustle on Instagram is exactly how I feel when I get new clothes:

What have you picked up recently?
Did you shop any Black Friday sales?!
