TBT {+ still now} love letter to NYC

Indeed Secaucus is the middle of no where to get somewhere, 

in many cases, that somewhere is on the way to NYC.

I love seeing this view on the way up! 

This is a little TBT love letter to NYC from summer school.

Dear NYC,

Thank you for your immense inspiration, your larger than life attitude

and the opportunity to be in a career that lets me be creative and happy.

I love these tiered buildings that are across the street from FIT,

talk about dreamy! 

This is definitely a throwback since I don't even have my floral sleeve tattoo yet!

& after a sweaty day in NYC,

Give me mó!!!!!

 So I have a big confession, I have a new HUGE obsession.

It first started on Instagram {like most do these days}

When I spotted these matte, outlined frames:

I immediately thought, "WHERE can I get those?!" 

I reached out to mó to see if they sold frames online 

and/or where was their closest store.

who is conveniently in Secaucus, NJ

All I can really say is that it was a total life changing experience.
I have been shadowing Leila and learning SO MUCH about Mó eyewear
and the industry as a whole.

I have quickly become obsessed with Mó,
there are so many pieces of the collection that I want to wear & show off!

I will take the cork, fur, and glitter pairs PLEASE! 

{especially the fur, of course!}

These pink glasses with gems are the glasses of my 8th grade dreams,

this is ALL I wanted when I first started wearing glasses. 

Lets be honest, still want them!

I also LOVE these clear glasses (yes my search for clear glasses continue!) 

& the blue texture pair 😍

On one of the days I shadowed Mó,

 we stopped by Morganstein Eye Associates in West New York, NJ:

They have such a good selection! 

We also went to PS Optical in Nutley, NJ and they are now carrying Mó!

While at PS Optical I fell in love with these Chantal Thomass leopard frames (top). 

I love the stitching on the sides, so on par with their lingerie line! 

The bottom pair is La Matta and I love those too! 

This pink sprinkle print pair of Mó glasses are SO CUTE! 

I love them too!

& she gifted me this INCREDIBLE travel eyewear case 

that she designed with Hemincuff:

Holy Moly this is beautiful! 

It carries 18 pairs, I never even knew something this amazing existed!

I CANNOT wait to fill this baby with Mó eyewear!

Pura Vida

This summer my parents got a taste of the Pura Vida (the pure life)

on their get-a-way to Costa Rica!

I loved Costa Rica when we went on a couple of service trips in college

{see my Wanderlust recap for Costa Rica HERE!} 

They were on the Pacific side of the country and it looked stunning! 

& they looked like they had so much fun! 

Loved seeing Mom in her beautiful Faniel glasses:

no wonder why they have a boutique there!

While my parents were living the Pura Vida we watched their little fur ball Stanley.

Remember when my sisters & I got this little baby for my mom for Christmas 2015?!

He is still a super cutie, yet a little devious 😏

He keeps my parents on their toes...

 Our payment for fur baby sitting was two bottles of the Lizano coconut rum,

it is like Malibu but soooo much better!

It is amazing in a cold glass of coke or by itself on ice.

We have saved a bottle since our Costa Rica trip and could not wait to get some more!

I updated my 2017 Spotify Playlist this week, 

I have been OBSESSIVELY listening to these songs:

Kesha "Praying"

Fleetwood Mac "Dreams" & "Rhiannon"

& Maggie Rogers "Alaska"

I already love her "On + Off" song but when I heard the "Alaska" Song Exploder podcast episode, 

I fell in love with this song and the story behind it.

I love the video of Pharrel Williams meeting Maggie and hearing Alaska 

is so inspiring:

& I can't get enough!

Some musical motivation to get through this week,

especially since classes at FIT start today!
