Wanted Wednesday: Blush Velvet Couch

I have been wanting a velvet couch for years now, 

I have come across a few in my thrifting adventures but have never pulled the trigger.

We have had a couple of vintage floral couches, a pink one and a blue one

that Maggie the bully steady destroyed.

I did some Wanted Wednesday research and my god they are pretty but SO ESSPENSIVE

Low and behold, I spotted this beauty at the Rescue Mission in Trenton, 

{you know one of My Top 5 NJ Thrift Spots}

On Friday's they have half price on their furniture, 

so this baby was.... drum roll please.....

$25!

You know I had to squeeze this baby in my car and drive cautiously home:

I am OBSESSED!
Charlie added this plant in this amazing barrel holder,
 that I found on the curb when a neighbor was moving.
+ pillows that were a thrift find from years ago
= perfection!

Arnold was the first to approve of the new couch.
Maggie and Barry checked it out and also approved.

I love having a couch in this space,
it is comfortable & pretty!

What is the missing piece in your house?

Sunday Shopping

1. Finally put these Target skyline pillows on my bed that I got in Sept 2015... LOVE THEM!
Layered them up with my All The Buildings in New York pillow cases by James Gulliver Hancock
2. My Princeton Target still has lots of the Victoria Beckham collection left. I got the Black Twill Tank Top (I love it in pink too, from my original order) and the Blue and White Gingham Twill Peplum Blouse in a size small, I originally sized up and got a large and it was like 3 sizes too big, massive for a traditional size large, happy to have it in a small! (Also ordered the Navy and White Floral Lace Appliqué Sweat Top on Ebay to complete my collection!)
3. Walmart Faded Glory white ballet flats I have these in black and pink from last year and I love them! Happy to have them in white!
4. LOVE these Hunter rain flats that I scored off Poshmark from the seller @carcarskye
5. Cheeseburger leggings from LuLaRoe seller Annabelle Winters on Facebook, this was the pair that I talked about when I bought my lipstick pair!
6. Giraffe print leggings from LuLaRoe via Courtney Skudalski
7. Kayond® leopard computer case from Amazon, love this! Great for traveling!
8. Lots of thrifted goodies from a recent trip to the Rescue Mission in Trenton!

Seasons of LOVE: Day 12 Valentine's Lookbook

Day 12: love bite!

I was sooooo excited when Influenster sent me this message
that I was getting the Bite "The Lip Pencil" box to try FOR FREE!

Could not wait to try!

The Influenster set included Bite Beauty lip pencils in "044" (darker) & "020" (lighter),
 and lipsticks in "whiskey" (darker) & "honeycomb" (lighter)
{Wore the lighter set HERE!}

Planned out the perfect vampy lip with the gold details in this outfit!

I went with the darker lip pencil "044" and topped it off with the "honeycomb" lipstick,
I absolutely love the dark mauve look that results!

Perfect for this kiss sweatshirt weekend wear outfit!

Sunday Funday: Thrift Shopping Adventures in denim + floral!

My favorite thing to do on the weekends is to hang out with this crazy upside down bully:

Even when she feels like rolling in our clean laundry...

My second favorite is to go thrifting!
Obviously!

I went to check out The Rescue Mission Thrift Store in Trenton,
this place used to be my #1, ride or die, thrift shop
 but since it changed over to bins and not hangers it is tough to find good stuff sometimes.

I do like the way they have started setting up the furniture in room settings
so you can see how the piece goes with others:

On this trip they had a TON of nice couches and furniture pieces,
but nothing we needed to take home

These were my favorite pieces:

I did take home this big glass canteen, I love that style of vase.
& this buffalo plaid shirt for my hubby {sadly too oversized for me,  but a win for him!}

Preparing for Fall: my "Trend Forecast"

 In the September addition of StyleWatch magazine,
it became clear that this fall's trends were designed with me in mind!

I mean leopard, tartan, and sequins?!
Yes please!

I listed to a really interesting episode of 99% Invisible this week about "The Trend Forecast"
& a company called WGSN who is behind the fashion machine,
 using data to investigate what the "in" colors and styles will be.

I also got this Pendleton cross body for $9 at the Goodwill on the same day!

Thrifting getting me ready for fall on the cheap!

20. astylishsideproject on Instagram's booties are from last year, and I wanted them last year, I wish I could find these bow back beauties!

thrift adventures in Trenton!

I mean, every adventure in Trenton needs to start with a great cup of coffee 

from Trenton Coffee House and Roaster!

& a fun red, white, and blue outfit shoot before it starts to pour...

Then it really started to come down...

We've been adding fun details to our home lately!
I love this "Eat" sign that we got at Michael's craft store, they were on sale for 60% off!

& we finally hung these copper bowls that I thrifted awhile ago

I had to go back and get the Bar version of the sign from Michaels!

While thrifting in Trenton, I found a dream china cabinet at the Rescue Mission in Trenton,
on Friday's it is 50% off furniture too!

Managed to fit in my car and bring this baby home!

It is perfect for my hubby's beer glass collection!

Also at the Rescue Mission of Trenton,
I fell in love with this potato cabinet!

So cute in the sunroom!
Especially for like $7 with the 50% off on Friday's!

We also got a new shelf from Home Depot in the basement for all my school stuff,
so much better!

My sister picked up this super cute closet from Forever Useful Furniture,
I'm excited to see how she will style it since she is so good at the DIY!

So much good stuff wherever you thrift!
