Humble Beauty Opinion :: March #64!

Last Saturday of the month = Humble Beauty Opinion time!

What I have purchased, loved, used up and every product in-between!

As per usual, let's start with my monthly subscriptions,
this month's Ipsy was such a good one!
I love that they focused on female brands for Nation Women's History Month!

This Ipsy bag has a lot of gems!
I have been using and loving the OFRA "Star Island" highlighter almost daily! It is a great highlight!

I also have worn and loved the Helios Luminor Polish in "Living Lovely" multiple times since receiving it, it is a great color (reminds me of Essie's "Under Where?" which was also a favorite but I have passed it on since I have been loving the Helios one!

I also enjoyed the Space Case Cosmetics shadow in "Messy Lochnessy",
especially around St. Patrick's Day!

I have yet to try both lip products to be able to give an opinion on them...

I also ordered  the answer from eye cream form the "Extra Product" special that they sent at the beginning of the month, I love this feature!
I was out of eye cream and this was perfect to try a new one for just $3!

Another interesting email/feature Ipsy sent this month was this "Want another Glam Bag" email,
it was tempting but I decided to pass (this time around)

On the other hand... this month's Sephora Play was boring, to say the least.
I mean the Versace perfume is nice, I already have a Lashcraft mascara from another bag,
& two dry shampoo products in the same bag?!
WHY?
A sunscreen & Nars "Laguna" bronzer- really the only product I am excited about.

I told myself that if this month's Sephora Play wasn't better that I would cancel my subscription and maybe treat myself to an extra Ipsy product at the start of the month if anything looks fun...
so bye bye Sephora Play, it was too inconstant and mainly skincare

I got my Colourpop order that I ordered right before February's Humble Beauty Opinion post,
So far, I LOVE both of the eyeshadows ("Earthshine" & "Rose All Day")
& have been wearing them a lot,
love the "What's Your Sign?" lipstick too,
I think that Colourpop created my cream red eyeliner "Try Me" that I have been searching for!
I wore it on the blog HERE
{have yet to find the perfect look for the pink one, but the warmer weather is sure to inspire!}
Also loving the "Small Fluff Brush" for highlighter!

Another exciting thing that happened in my Humble Beauty Month were these two Lime Life lipsticks from my aunt, I took the "203 Pinkies Up" shade {worn HERE}
and my sister took the 202 shade

and it is so FANCY!
Smells rich (I mean it is $240!) & does look pretty on the skin,
so excited to get to try this product and so far I am loving it!

I love the little stand it comes with and a little brush for the concealer that is in the top!

I do have a couple things on my monthly wishlist,
but have been trying to be better about using and loving what I have
(& doing pretty good with that- see my empties below!)

I just love all the colors in this makeup look that elfcosmetics posted on their Instagram
of their collaboration with JKISSA

I love the look of this palette and would love to get my hands on it but it is sold out:

I also really want to try this elf powerless putty primer that everyone was been talking about,
Trendmood1 on Instagram posted that it was back in stock but it sold out again,
 I want to get it!

I also love these two shades from Devinah Cosmetics:

Back to Colourpop for a second...
they are having their Build Your Own Palette sale!

& the pallet options are so cute!

This month's empties, what I used up, loved, hated & all my humble opinions in between:
beauty: Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter- I love this stuff! Smells amazing and hydrating! Have continued to repurchase / Morphe "Continuous Setting Mist"- This is the second bottle I have used up of this stuff, I like the spray on it but I am not sure it is as good as the Urban Decay All Nighter but it is about half the cost / MAC Prep + Prime Fix+- I have been wanting to try this for years after hearing so much about it, I am not sure how I feel about it, the spray was terrible, big droplets all over my face, so I moved the product to a different bottle but it is still just okay, I tried it to wet a shadow like everyone talks about but it made the shadow even harder in the pan... happy to try it but don't think I would get it again / Trader Joe's Rose Water Facial Toner- I love this stuff! I already have a new bottle, it is a refreshing way to start my makeup / Neutrogena SkinClearing "Natural Ivory 20" foundation- I really like this foundation, it is a great drug store foundation for my skin / Maybelline Age Rewind "Light Pale"- LOVE this canceler have repurchased and continue to! / OPI mini polish (why don't these mini's have names on them?!) I like this color but it is just too goopy to use anymore / Face shaver- this was good in the beginning (they are cheap) but it got dull / H2O+ Beauty "Oasis Hydrating Treatment"- I am not a huge fan of this it is kind of tacky and doesn't leave the skin feeling hydrated / Origins "GinZing" eye cream- I loved this and will probably invest in some when my other eye creams are done / Lush "Vanillary" solid perfume-    I have had this for years now, I love the scent but I am not sure about solid perfumes, I know they have since changed the packaging of this line / Sparkling must perfume- I don't know who makes this the writing on it is tiny and hard to read- I was an okay scent, nothing too special / Stella McCartney "Stella" perfume- I got this from a Sephora Play and LOVED it! I am sad it is done but will consider purchasing it when I am in the market for a perfume / OUAI Leave In Conditioner- I love the scent of all OUAI products, I love this product but the spray bottle stops working 3/4 of the way which is annoying / Wet n Wild "Brûlée" I love this for setting my under eye and brow bone, it is the perfect color for me! Have repurchased and continue to! / Milk "Blur Stick"- when I first used this I didn't think it was doing anything but the skin did look good after, I feel like it was done so quickly though, not sure I would purchase but it was nice / Tarte "Paaarty" blush- this was a Sephora birthday gift and I love this color, unfortunately when I went to use it the top broke off, so then I tired to depot it and it broke so now I have some of this shade as a loose powder, still love it but miss the little compact / Secret "Cool Waterlily" deodorant- a classic, this is my preferred type of deodorant and this scent was nice and not overpowering / Twin Lakes chapstick- wow this is OLD and when I used it the last time it was definitely past it's prime, I miss this brewery but this chapstick had to go!

bath: Mainstays "Woodland Sage" candle from Walmart- I love these chandles, so good for like $4! / Suave "Almond + Shea Butter" conditioner- I know this stuff is cheap but I REALLY enjoyed this conditioner and the pump is so convenient, I will repurchase! / SPA Haus "Saloon Shampoo"- another cheapo product but this one I can't recommend, it does not lather that well and is so slippy that it falls out of your hand before you can even get it on your head / Christophe Robin "Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt"- I got this from a Sephora Play and was shocked by how long it lasted, I only used it after hair colors or when I felt like I needed a scarf scrub but I was shocked at how little product goes so far and lathers well, I really enjoyed this product / Pantene Shampoo travel size- a good classic / ReThink CBD Gummy Drops- decided to try these to see what all the hype is about, I don't know if they have any effect but they taste good, we also got a spray version to try with Maggie the anxious bulldog, I am not sure that had any affect on her either but she seamed to eat her food with it faster / Gillette Venus Embrace razor head- I have used these for years and am happy to switch this one out / Revlon "Deep Burgundy"- went a little darker this month, still a favorite! / belif "Sleeping Mask"- At first I did not like this that much but the morning after using it I really did see a difference in my skin, it was so soft! Ended up loving it! / Animals "Penguin" face mask- these are so creepy but so fun, scares my dogs through (see picture below to also be scared) / Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Bar Soap x3- yup we are still loving this soap / Eva NYC dry shampoo- good thing Sephora play sent me two dry shampoos this month (JK) I love the scent of this Eva dry shampoo and it is a favorite / Not Your Month's "Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo" - this dry shampoo on the other hand is not a favorite, I don't like the scent and it lingers for a long time, it also would leave a white cast in my hair / Shaving Cream- found this from one of our travels, I actually enjoyed using this cream, wish I had more! / Sunday Riley "Ceramic Slip"- I loved this! My favorite beauty podcast FatMascara named it as a "Raise The Wand" products and I was happy to find it in my Sephora Play- I love the way this smells, I think it smells like fruit loops / feel Renewed "Pumpkin Walnut Facial Cleanser"- I liked this but I prefer my scrubs to be more abrasive / equate "Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes"- these are my favorite make up remover wipes, I love the way they smell and that they are damp enough to take off my makeup and they are super cheap! / Botanics "Shine Away Iconic Clay Mask"- I liked this clay mask, it was a nice treatment I have a lot of masks to try right now but this was a good one! / hello "extra whitening fluoride toothpaste" - I don't really like the taste of this and feel like you need a lot of product to brush / Colgate Total- this is our usual toothpaste and it is a good basic / U Collection toothpaste from traveling- I love these little travel toothpastes, so convenient and this was a good one!

See the Animals "Penguin" face mask is quite creepy...
just ask my bulldog...

I laughed so hard at this post from lileyebutton on Instagram,
also her makeup looks are amazing- you should check her out and follow!

February Humble Beauty Opinion #63

I love this sketch that I spotted hanging at the Princeton Record Exchange

I love this "insider tip" cartoon from lorynbrantz on Instagram:

It's the last Saturday of the month so it is my Humble Beauty Opinion post!

Let's start with my monthly subscriptions,
1st up Ipsy, and this month was a good one!
I love the lip print of the bag & have been enjoying every product.
I love the purple color of the Chella liner,
the Meech And Mia shadow in "Caramel" is good,
I do wish it had some more color payoff.
The face wash is okay, I prefer my apricot scrub,
the MAC foundation was exciting at first but the sample is to little
you can barely get the little sponge into it...
So I ended up breaking it up and adding it to my current powder foundation,
don't have time or space for that...

The stunner of this month's bag is the Belle En Argent lipstick in "I'll Bring Dessert" it is AMAZING! I love the formula and the color, it has quickly become a favorite,
see it on my face HERE

This month's Sephora Play was ehhh,
not too exciting and arrived pretty late in the month so I still need to try some of the products,
but many were repeats (like the fresh rose face mask which is just okay & a repeat bite lipstick)
I was excited to try the Milk "Blur Stick", this is the first Milk product I've tried,
initially I was like "Is this even doing anything, is it even going on my face" but the result does look more poreless & dare I say it "Blurred"?!
Not sure it is something I would buy but it is nice to play with

I recently got news that I was getting the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue VoxBox
from Influenster, I have never tried a stick foundation before
and am excited to give this one a go!

They sent me the shade "Opal 1" and it is a little light but I think I like it so far,
pretty nice coverage with one swipe and blends nicely!

When Colourpop came out with their different color mascaras, I was excited
but was really hoping that the next product would be fun eyeliner & low and behold,
they have arrived!

I have been searching for an affordable red liquid liner for over a year at this point,
and I had to try these out... which led to me picking out a couple other things I've been waiting from Colourpop:
I am excited to try all those new products out!

I do have a couple of things on this month's makeup wishlist:

These Moon Shifters are so pretty!
I love the Lunar Eclipse, Blood Moon & Moonlight shades:

Wet n Wild put out their limited edition Rebel Rose collection
& I really want to try that black cream blush!

The rose brushes are so cute too!

YouTuber Jaclyn Hill recently went through her skin care routine on Instagram stories,
I had to screen shot this bliss micro magic face wash because she said it is her favorite and she likes an intense scrub, I will have to try it out!

This month's empties, what I used up, loved, hated
& all my humble opinions in between:
beauty: Revlon "Colorsilk Intense Red" x 2- been loving this color lately, super bright! / Trader Joe's Hand Soap Lavender & Camomile- we've been loving this hand soap! Definitely will repurchase! / The Righteous Butter from Soap & Glory- I like this lotion but it is not my favorite, not as hydrating as their pot lotions / Pink "Fresh & Clean" body wash- I got this as a gift for Christmas and really enjoyed it! Smells nice and feels hydrating! Reminded me of how nice the Victoria Secret products can be / Dr. Bronner's bar soap x 2 we get these from Trader Joe's and love them / Summer's Eve "Simply Sensitive Cleansing Cloths"- love these especially for travel / Milk Essence Mask Sheet- got this in Thailand and loved it! Very hydrating / Colgate "Clean Mint"- a good travel toothpaste / Tom's "Original Care" deodorant- my husband loves this, I am not that big of a fan, I just don't think it really works...

beauty: Nexxus hair spray- this was from my travel bag and lasted a surprising amount of time, it is okay, don't think I would get the same one again / Leopard print washi tape- so sad this is done, loved it, it is surprisingly strong though / equate "Makeup Remover" 10 pack- also had these in my travel bag and loved them, these are still my favorite makeup wipes / Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion- this is my favorite eyeshadow primer, I have a full size my sister's gave me for my birthday that will last for a while / Cover FX "Custom Enhancer Drops"- I'm not a huge of liquid highlighter but I added this one to my foundation and enjoyed it / Youth To The People "Kale & Spinach Green Tea" moisturizer- this was really nice, I really enjoyed it / Caudalie "Vinoperfect"- I liked this serum but the dropper kinda sucked / Essbee's Mango Butter Balm- really enjoyed this chap stick but it got a little messy/melty at the end, I need to get a new one! / MAC "NC30 Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation- like I said in my Sephora Play review, too small of a sample to get the sponge in there so I broke it up to use in my powder / Summit Brow Base- I used to love this for spot correcting like a concealer but it got all dried up =( / OPI "Wipe Off" nail polish remover wipes- I like these but they leave my hand a little greasy / Lineage "Water Bank Moisture Cream"- I loved this moisturizer

scents: ScentSationals from Walmart in "Date Night"- I loved these cologne scents / Better Homes & Gardens from Walmart "Mahogany & Sandalwood"- one of my favorite scents for my warmers /  Mahogany Driftwood from Walmart- love these candles too!

In other beauty news,
last night before we were going to bed and setting our alarms for today,
I asked my husband why he was getting up earlier than I was
and if he had a lot of makeup to put on and he said,
"Well, I am going to shower, walk the dogs, have coffee, and eat breakfast
while you are upstairs matching your eyeshadow to your socks."

This was my face: 😧
 What a jerk.

But he is not exactly wrong...

Happy humble beauty opinion.

January Humble Beauty Opinion! #62

Last Saturday of the month = #HumbleBeautyOpinion!
My monthly subscriptions, reviews, wish lists, and empties!
New Year, same HBO!

After Christmas I decided to finally get the beautyblender defender on Ulta,
I was a little nervous because the reviews are mixed on this,
I was surprised at how large it is... really fits like 2 beauty blenders,
but I think it is okay, good design
but I do wish it was smaller to be more travel friendly.
{FYI the makeup sponges I use/like: original beautyblender, Real Techniques, and Morphe}

Last month I was complaining in my Humble Beauty Post that my Ipsy bag never arrived...
So I contacted them and they sent me a new one and then the first week of January,
TWO December bags arrived.
Wut?

So confused but at least I got the two items I really wanted last month:
Nomad Cosmetics "Around-The-World Light Infusion Holographic Illuminator
 in Ko Phablets Ngan Moonlight"
& INMO "Frozen Lipstick in Runway Red"
& now have a back up which is good because I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK!

& then this month's January Ipsy bag arrived:
it is okay, I love the Fluide gloss, and the OUAI leave in conditioner,
the polish is pretty nice and I have worn it a few times,
I have yet to try the foundation but am excited to!

This month's Sephora Play was a pretty good one too, I like the Sunday Riley treatment and the belif sleeping mask, could always use a beauty blender cleaner and have yet to use the other products, the Bite Beauty lipstick is a duplicate from last year's birthday gift which is lame but I passed it on to my sister, it is a great color.

Only a little monthly makeup wishlist this month,
I have been trying to use what I already own and not be sucked into to more makeup.

Their eyeshadow are some of my favorite!

I also love this duo chrome polish that Sally_hansen showed off in a sponsored Instagram post

Trendmood1 on Instagram shared Colourpop's "She's A Mystery" bags
and I love the leopard packaging!
This is such a good way to try a variety of products!
I think it is sold out but I will be on the lookout for the next!

This month's empties-
what I used up, loved, hated  & all my humble opinions in between:
bath: Attitude Shampoo- I was not a huge fan of this, it didn't lather a lot and left my hair a little dry like hay | Dr. Bronner's "Pure Castile Bar Soap" x 2- love this soap! | boscia "Exfoliating Peel Gel"- I am not a huge fan of these types of products because I can never tell if they are actually working or if the product itself is just balling up... | up & up- eye makeup remover- I need a new one STAT! This is a good basic eye makeup remover and with the accidental water proof mascara purchase, it has become a necessity | P.F. Candle Co- I got these on Amazon after seeing them recommended by Carli Bybel on Youtube, they are really nice and I think we may have almost used up both packs already! | Revlon Colorsilk hair dye in "Intense Red"- a favorite! I have been using this color for a couple of months now | equate "Cotton Swabs"- basic and useful | equate "Flushable Cleansing Cloths"- I was not a fan of these something about the texture that was too abrasive | SNP Rabbit face mask- got this as a gift and it was a particularly creepy one... see below

These animal masks are always a little creepy,
but this bunny mouth one is quite strange...

beauty: TIGI Glow Blush in "Haute"- this was a favorite blush! Sad that is is done, will have to repurchase | Luna by Luna- Translucent powder- a nice basic powder not sure how I feel about a baked powder I think I prefer loose | Smashbox "Photo Finish"- a nice primer, I enjoyed this but I think I prefer the benefit "Porefessional" | Elf foundation- I thought this was the old BB Cream that I used to love from them but it was thicker and I did not enjoy this as much | Context Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream- this was a nice eye cream and lasted FOREVER! | Lancer "The Method Nourish"- I liked this cream although there was something about the scent that wasn't my favorite but I LOVED the polish step in this line (got it from Influenster to try out) | Maybelline Age Rewind in "Brightner"- this is a must in my makeup routine! Immediately had to repurchase! Touch In Sol "Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter"- I tried this out this week and it was terrible, so sheer, tacky and not cute. Do not recommend. | Loreal "Voluminous Lash Paradise"- I loved this mascara. I bought it in Penn Station before work one day because I forgot to put on mascara. I had a full teal blue smokey eye with no mascara... it was a life saver and became a favorite. The hype is real with this one. Although I wish I did not get the waterproof one because it was a pain to take off.

Scents: Rustic Lakehouse from Walmart- I love this scent and these are so cheap | Mainstays "Pumpkin Spice"- a little too sweet but was nice | Better Homes & Gardens "Farm Apple Pumpkin" scented wax cubes- Charlie did not like these, they were very sweet

What were you loving in beauty this month?
Any products I should try??

Have you tried the super hyped Loreal "Voluminous Lash Paradise"?
What did you think about it?!
