Trifecta of Bliss & Trifecta of Yeahs

I was so surprised when we got home from the David Byrne concert
to see that Charlie had decorated our kitchen for my birthday.

Hanging up streamers has been a long family tradition in the Basilone family,
that has withstood many, many birthdays,
even after my Poppy said when the last of us turned 18 we weren't decorating anymore.
The last of us is 22 and I am the oldest at 30 and the tradition is still going strong.

I was surprised Charlie brought this tradition into our home,
it made me smile so big (and almost tear up if I am going to be honest)

He outdid himself this birthday, he said this year is
"The Trifecta of Bliss with our 5 year wedding anniversary, 10 years of dating and both turning 30"

Charlie had definitely been prepping for this birthday:

Some birthday pics on my "throne" and with a margarita, of course

What I Wore: glasses- Bonlook, lips- Milani Mattallics "Mattely in Love", necklace- gift from Nonna and Mom, dress- Walmart, shoes- Seychelles

After a few margaritas and playing with lots of props,
we headed to Goose Island 215 Block Party in Philly,
Charlie got tickets & invited my sisters to come see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
This is the second time I got to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs preform,

I was a little nervous about this block party because it was outside
& some of these events can have really long lines for drinks, beers and be kinda annoying.

Not this one,
Goose Island & The Electric Factory put on an amazing event!

I was amazed at the incredible beer selection, and the fact that they were all $3!
What a deal!
There were no lines to get drinks, multiple bars, hardly any lines to go to the bathroom
and the inside of the Electric Factory was open for some warmth and a place to sit.
A very well run event, it was awesome!

I had so much fun,
poncho and all.

Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs put on an AMAZING show.

When I saw/blogged the Yeah Yeah Yeahs the first time I said,
I would have died if they played "Art Star",
the only one that they didn't play that I wanted to hear."

Well, before Karen O went to sing one of the last songs she said "Someone requested this deep cut and I wrote this in New York and didn't think I'd play it in Philly"

& I tuned to my sister and said, "No way is she going to play Art Star?!"

& SHE DID.

I NEARLY FAINTED.

What an incredible show.
One for the books & a 30th birthday I will never forget.
