Isn't life grand?

I was so excited to try the new Grand Tavern in Neptune, NJ,
the pictures on social media look delicious!

I love the decor, down to the mismatched china place settings

The menu is small, but interesting.
It is pricy though

I was most excited for the octopus small plate,
but it was rubbery like it had been cooked, frozen, and then grilled.
Overall, each dish we had {and we tried most of the menu}
were overloaded with too many flavors.
Not so grand.

Tell you what is actually grand,
