A total Dogfish day for Day 2!
What I Wore: glasses- Steve Madden, lips- J.Cat Beauty Liptitude Hydrating Lip Stain in "Hikilicious" via Ipsy, dress- Candies {traded for on PoshMark}, flats & bag- thrifted
We finally got to go to the Fractured Prune for donuts!
My sister has been raving about these donuts for years now
We tried a whole bunch,
my favorite was the Banana Nut Bread & Coffee Cake, but they were all very good
Then on to the Dogfish Brewery!
Wow, this place is incredible!
This "Steampunk Treehouse" sculpture is breathtaking,
it came from a "Burning Man" instillation and it impressive in person
See more info here.
Started our tasting & tour!
Our tour guide was Kevin, and he was the best!
He was hilarious, entertaining, and informative!
Their brewery is nothing short of incredible,
we go on a lot of brewery tours but this was by far the most impressive system
and it was just amazing!
{mani- Essie "Under where"- will be wearing this pretty much all summer...
+ ring- Hey Claire's collection on Market}
The Palo Santo barrels and story behind how incredibly strong they are was so cool to see in real life!
There were Dogfish Head logos even in the concrete!
No detail is left out!
This is "Sam's Stash" of vintage beers
Now, if I thought the brewery tour was completely amazing,
when we went to the bottling facility, my mind was blown.
Holy. Beer.
They have a machine that does literally every aspect of the bottling process,
850 bottles a minute!
Time to finish our tasting!
Before the tour I tried the "Namaste" and "Festina Peche"
I finished with the "American Beauty" and the "Chateau Jiahu"
Me + my sister Bianca who planned this whole trip!
Me + my hubby!
We left the brewery to eat at the Dogfish Head Brew Pub,
As mentioned yesterday, the traffic to get into Rehoboth Beach was a nightmare,
to go 15 miles took over an hour.
it was brutal.
I had the "Summer Melon Squeeze" drink and it was amazing,
I also enjoyed my clam chowder, but my shrimp and grits was too salty and not very good
We went back to Lewes and had cocktails at Agave Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar
The house special margarita was AMAZING!
We also tried their nachos and they were DELICIOUS!
Another family was waiting 3+ hours for a table... so be warned!
but for drinks + apps = heck yes.
Back to the inn!
You can read details to all the places we went to/ate at on my TripAdvisor!
Day 3 tomorrow!
+ an extra brewery off our Summer 2015 Beer Bucket List!
