This month's humble beauty opinion is extra special because it is my Birthday month!
I loved this years birthday gift from Sephora, the Tarte Lip and Cheek Set,
I LOVE the lip color in "Birthday Suit"
Remember when I won a set in my Advertising class?
Happy to have this backup!
The blush is also really pretty!
I also redeemed some Sephora points for the NARS pencil in "Let's Go Crazy",
such a pretty color and I love the NARS pencils.
At Ulta, I redeemed my birthday gift of the "Happy Birthday" palette from NYX
What a good birthday reward from Ulta!
I AM LOVING IT!
It is a perfect palette for me, love the mattes, reds, and green!
It's great!
This month's ipsy was nice too, a little boring but it's okay.
This month's Sephora Play was also pretty boring...
I already have that Ciate liquid lip and honestly it is not comfortable at all.
Everything else is just okay, haven't used that glitter shadow yet but we will see.
At the end of last month I was also sent a series of Lancer products to try from Influenster,
I was waiting a bit to try this system because I was still healing from the peeling
caused by the Lancôme x Influenster Vox Box.
In this Influenster x Lancer Vox Box I got:
LANCER The Method: Polish {retail $75}
LANCER The Method: Cleanse {retail $55}
LANCER The Method: Nourish {retail $125}
LANCER Eye Contour Lifting Cream with Diamond Powder {retail $95}
Side note- I am always shocked at how much this stuff retails for!
& I got it for free to review!
#bloggerbonus
So far I am enjoying it, my favorite is the Polish Method,
it is a great micro scrub and helps to even out my skin.
The Nourish cream is also very hydrating and nice.
The Cleanse method is nothing worth writing home about, pretty basic cleanser.
I have not tried the eye cream yet, I am working on using up another product.
Maple Holistic reached out to me to review their tea tree shampoo,
after reading about their all natural, cruelty free products I was excited to try,
& you can too with their free sample program!
I just started using this shampoo and it smells wonderful,
rosemary + lavender + tea tree = like a spa treatment in your shower
I bought a few items from Walmart recently:
Almay "Black Raisin" eyeliner for $1- I was really excited for this
but it is lighter than I was expecting and not too great.
Flower Beauty BB Cream in BB2- way too dark
but I added it to my Wet and Wild foundation that was too light.
As for the e.l.f Highlighting & Blending Sponge- this is terrible.
So hard and does not bend anything out.
I honestly threw it out as soon as I tried it.
I have been enjoying the equate Apricot Scrub though!
😟
For this month's wishlist,
I loved this "hanging lassi cup" that Magnolia posted on Instagram:
I was also excited for the klpolish fall collection release,
especially since this sneak preview & then reveal.
But I think I have enough colors that are similar in my collection already,
so I don't think I will be purchasing any of them
I also love this "Butternut" shade from Kylie Cosmetics,
I have not tried any Kylie Cosmetics, but this shade may change that...
Coming October 6th

LATE UPDATE:
This month's beauty empties,
what I used up and what I thought:
makeup empties: First Aid Beauty "Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer"- this is a great moisturizer, I enjoyed it / Bath & Body Works "Winter Candy Apple" lotion- this stuff smells wonderful, I love it and it brings back good memories of teacher gifts / TRESemme "Perfectly (un) DONE" mousse- I liked this stuff a lot, it was perfect for after showers, if my hair is too clean with no product it looks poofy and not cute, this helps with that. Would repurchase. / Osis+ "Rough Rubber"- I have had this for a long time and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, would repurchase. / Hard Candy "Brows Now"- I love this stuff, so easy and fast to use to fill in your eyebrows and help them stay in place / Bobbi Brown "Eye Opening Mascara" from Sephora Play July- remember when I got sent two of these and not the tarte lipstick? Well I used one up, there was hardly any product in these tubes, but it was nice for all its worth. / OPI "Give me Moor!"- all dried up =( but it was such a nice color / Maybelline "FIT me Matte + Poreless"- this was a good foundation but nothing too amazing / Tommy Girl cologne- one of my favorite scents, sad it is done, I will have to get a new one! / e.l.f cosmetics "Highlighting & Blending Sponge"- just bought this (above) and as soon as I used it I had to throw it out, it is terrible, so hard and does not blend anything. DO NOT RECOMMEND. / Beauty Blender- I have had this for a while, it is I think my second one, there is nothing like a real Beauty Blender, no matter what people say. I just got a new one!
bath empties: "Rustic Lakehouse" candle from Walmart- LOVE this scent! / Trader Joe's Coconut Oil- this stuff is great, I use it for makeup remover, moisturizer, and lots of other things / Dr. Bronner's "Pure-Castile Soap"- this stuff is amazing, I love it to clean my makeup brushes / celavi "Vitamin" makeup remover wipes- I get these from the Korean grocery store H-Mart, I love them / beauty 360 from CVS "Regular Cotton Balls"- these are TINY, not "regular", had to use two for my usual cotton ball, did not like these / natureby Essence Mask Sheet in "Blueberry", "Cucumber" & "Red Ginseng", I love these! Such a nice treat, I also get these from H-Mart / Revlon "Violet Black" & Loreal "V28 Deepest Violet"- loved both these colors! / Neutrogena "Body Clear Body Scrub"- my hubby loves this stuff in the shower / St. Ives "Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub"- a lifetime favorite, this stuff is amazing. I love how my skin feels after this exfoliation! / Garnier "Micellar Cleansing Water"- I wanted to try this after hearing great things but it was just okay, I like a toner cleanser more and get better results with a toner / THANN "Rice Bran Oil Soap Bar"- I love this brand of hotel products, smells wonderful, I enjoyed this soap! / Pears "Oil- Clear Soap"- this is one of my favorite brands of soap, when I saw this green version I knew I had to try it, it was great! / Dove "Sensitive Skin" soap- this used to be my end-all-be-all soap, mainly because this is what my mom would buy when we were growing up, I still enjoy it and it is still a go-to / Gillette Venus Embrace- there is nothing like the feeling of a new razor head, am I right?! These are always a favorite! / Ouai Shampoo and Conditioner samples from Sephora Play, these were nice, but did not have a lot of product in them to get a good idea of how it works / Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter- this lotion is great! Smells wonderful and so hydrating- will keep repurchasing! / Soap & Glory "Sugar Crush" body wash- such a nice fresh citrus smell, love it! Also love this packaging for body wash, so easy to use in the shower! / Pantene Conditioner- a good basic / beauty 360 "original nail polish remover" from CVS- also a good basic
Happy {birthday} Humble Beauty Month!
