cap, gowns, and excellent dumplings

Last week I took the trek into NYC
to pick up my cap & gown from The Fashion Institute of Technology
such a bitter sweet feeling, I can't believe this experience is all over.

What a fast year full of eye opening experiences, amazing classes
and projects that pushed me to be confident in my creative side.

I am excited to graduate tomorrow and for my new career to start,
thankful for everything I've learned this year.

This message on this news stand across from the FIT campus is so, so accurate:

Also thankful that Charlie took this trip with me & that I became friends with Holly last semester.
She has quickly become one of my closest friends
and I am going to miss our Monday lunch dates, now I need a job in the city so we can keep them!

We went out to lunch at Excellent Dumplings House in Chelsea,
and let me tell you, it was excellent!
Especially for the price!
We had the shrimp and crab dumplings and pork soup dumplings which were all really good.
The Beef Chow Fun was also delicious!

We stopped by Milk for some birthday cake ice cream that was delicious!

What I Wore: glasses- Firmoo, lips- Tarte "Birthday Suit", jacket- Hunter x Target, top- vintage, pants- White House Black Market {thrifted}, boots- JCrew, backpack- Hunter x Target

Happy to have this waterproof backpack for all these rainy spring days!

Time to decorate my cap!
Thanks to my assistant for all his "help"
