Happy Basilone Day!
Today is the day when the twinning between Raritan, NJ
& Colle Sannita, Italy is official!
Basilone is my maiden name and John Basilone was a war hero in WWII
who was killed in action and received the Metal of Honor, Navy Cross, and Purple Heart.
He grew up in Raritan, NJ and his family is also from Colle Sannita!

living vicariously through them (aka these are my mom's pics)
