My fashion school friend Holly invited us to celebrate Chinese New Year with her in NYC!

I was so excited to go on this adventure!
Of course I had to wear some red for the occasion!
What I Wore: glasses- c/o Faniel via 10/10 Optics, lips- Revlon "Romantic", jacket- vintage LLbean, top {under}- thrifted, sweater- Old Navy, pants- Primark, booties- JCrew, bag- vintage
Even went with a red mani for the occasion!
Red- Nicka K "NY139" & Zoya "24K"
Our trip to NYC started with some Happy Hour margaritas at Mexicue
while we waited for Holly to be done with class...
In the subway we got to watch some live music by the Raices Group,
the epitome of NYC!
Headed downtown to Canal!
A blurry but perfect pic
We had to try these streamer poppers that were everywhere!
Charlie was so good at it.
I couldn't do mine and needed assistance...
exciting none the less
We started with amazing desserts at Tai Pan Bakery,
highly recommend the pineapple bun with red bean, egg custard and the scallion cake!
& then headed to dinner at Shanghai Asian Manor on Mott Street,
so good!
On the way back to Penn Station we spotted these Chinese New Year themed windows at Macy's
Holly said that these decorations are wrong
and they are more for weddings than new year celebrations...
whoops! Nice try Macy's...
Happy Year of the Dog!
