This is the first installment of my new Tuesday series called "this must be the place": Home Tour!
{of course based off of the love song "This Must Be the Place" by Talking Heads- click for youtube song link}
I wanted to do this Home Tour because the last couple of years in our house
has been a learning experience, for better or for worse.
We've come a long way from our apartment {click here for that tour!},
but times are tough.
No matter what happens in the future, this will always been our first house
& I wanted to remember it in this funky, unfinished, work in progress form
that I love and stress out about on a daily basis...
I love this quote and I look to it when the bills are mounting and things fall apart:

This house tour will be for the next 7 weeks on Tuesdays!
{Sept 1st - Oct 13th}
Each week will feature a few rooms and our collective {mostly thrifted} decor,
A HUGE thank you to Michelle from Michelle Amy Photography {she is the best!}
for coming over to help me out with this series!
& yes I took this creepy shot of her during our shoot =)
Okay, these posts will be picture heavy with little commentary,
let me know if you have questions about design/origin of specific items & I will try to help!
Lets go!
Today's focus is the outside to give you context for the rest of these Home Tour posts!
fig tree
garden
our harvest
bird feeder
bee houses
persimmon
various gnomes hidden around our hobbit home
Perhaps one of my favorite "features" of outside is this handmade rake
that we found from the house's previous owners...
That should be an indication of how botched previous repairs have been in this house,
part of the struggle to owning a house that is 100+ years old!
Stay tuned for all the inside parts of my Home Tour!
