Yes, the title is a play on that rap song
So last Wednesday was my 27th birthday,
in case you missed my "27 things you must say goodbye to at 27" commentary post, check it out...
The hubby took off to hang out with me and I was so excited to spend the day with him,
he made cupcakes, crepes,
and I was so excited that he got me the Betsey Johnson watermelon necklace!
I LOVE IT!
It is so cute!
I love the hefty quality, it is beautiful
but the unexpected watermelons are such an amazing twist on a statement necklace!
He also got me these amazing earrings from thrift_thrillers {an amazing Etsy store}
They are so cute!
Charlie also made crepes for breakfast!
& got me flowers!
One of my favorite Happy Birthday's was this one on facebook from my friend Mike:
{source}
I loled.
pretty accurate!
We started our adventure with my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks!
Free on my birthday + I found one of the limited edition travel cups,
I wanted the floral one {as seen here} but they had butterflies and I went with it!
We started our road trip down to Long Beach Island!
We arrived!
There is something about LBI that calms me down and just makes me relax & be happy.
Our first stop was some shopping at Schooner's Wharf
I loved these beach cover ups at Tropics, great beachy patterns!
We went to Sedona East
& I fell in love with these earrings and had to pick them up for $7.50!
I used to love to check out B&B Department Store when on Long Beach Island
when we used to vacation in LBI in college
I fell in love with this fringe cardigan as soon as we walked in
I mean, it does not go with my late-summer outfit,
but it is perfect transition piece into fall/winter.
Had to have it!
Lunch at The Chegg {Chicken or the Egg},
best wings ever + great chowder = worth the trip!
Of course walking on the beach was next!
What I Wore: glasses- GlassesLit {P.S. Check out these star & stripes glasses- may have to buy them for myself}, lips- Urban Decay "Anarchy", necklace- Betsey Johnson watermelon necklace, dress- Anthropologie, shorts- Lilly Pulitzer for Target, sandals- Target
We stumbled on Delaware Ave Oyster House & Bar
for Happy Hour- $1 oysters!
HECK YES, lets just say we ate our weight in oysters!
& I had Yards "PYNK" beer which I also love!
Quick stop at Skipper Dipper for some cheesecake soft serve!
Before heading to the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park!
I've never been this far up Long Beach Island,
I was so excited to explore the light house and we got to go to the top!
Right before it closed!
Yes, 202 stairs!
Not going to lie, it was a work out!
THAT VIEW!
#worthit
Gotta snap at the top!
{Follow me @emmasglasses- although I kinda suck at SnapChat}
I like the light house sticker- although it is on my cheek...
Wow.
Sandy toes!
On the way home we stopped at DeLorenzos to pick up a famous tomato pie,
pretty good for pizza in NJ--- NYC? Now that is another story.
I am so happy I took home this fringe beauty from B&B Department Store!
This this piece in my closet- I think I may be ready for fall,
especially since this was an amazing birthday,
dare I say it?
Check out my vintage finds: InTheLeopardCloset on Etsy
