faves for friday: found furniture

It all started when I wanted this bookshelf from Target,

I wanted it, but for $130... 

I decided there were other things I need to fund

{like a trip to Texas Style Council??- really trying to make that trip work- Anyone going?!}

So I recently had a little DIY on a piece of furniture I found on the side of the road. 

Something about those orange shelves & the industrial feel made these shelves the perfect fit!

The sides were a little warped from being in the rain,

& covered in clovers. 

I cleaned it out, chiseled off the old warped wood and painted it a grey color that we used in our bedroom.

Perfect addition to the living room to hold our movies & blankets!

Over the years there have been a few other pieces that I found & have cherished ever since!

This red, green, and yellow piece is one of MY FAVORITES!

Who could leave such a beautiful piece on the curb! 

This desk was another curb score, 

perfect!

Am I the only crazy who takes things from the curb? 

Oh well... free is always a good deal!
