life lately: I may have an obsession with my pug

I apparently take way too many pictures of my pug.
If you are offended, this blog may not be your cup of tea

& perhaps videos too...

At least the weather has been nice,
{not so much this weekend though...}

Some of the drawings my kids draw in school are too cute...

This was my attempt at a "Draw my Life"
This is the extent of my drawing abilities

This is a pretty accurate representation:

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

life lately

Get ready for some random pictures from the last couple of weeks:

1st up:
Creeper Pug
I could not sleep knowing that he was staring directly at me...

Now for an assortment of deliciousness that is making me hungry while writing this post:
/ one of the best burgers I have ever had from "The Committed Pig" in Manasquan, NJ /
/ my hunters took a bit of a working vacation when I keep leaving them at school /
/ frozen yogurt from "Let's Yo" {pumpkin pie & cake batter- love mine with lots of fruit, cake crunchies, and caramel} /
/ happy hour sushi grading party makes for one productive & happy teacher /

Another recent discovery / growing obsession:
The Vault in Yardville, PA

We went a week ago and I fell in love with the Sweet Potato Ale & s'mores!

So we went again tonight:
Switched out the pizza to change it up a bit,
but stuck with the sweet potatoes ale
{& had two s'mores this time...}

life lately mainly via food photos

Life lately has consisted of lots of food, as you are about to see.
It is not that I eat sushi as much as it appears, rather that this is a compilation of sushi trips over the last month or so, with some pizza, pine tree ice cream from Bent Spoon in Princeton, and fiancé-made breakfast.

Also while Christmas shopping I came across this HILARIOUS iPhone case & needed to share:

& my new car is back from the doctors after a certain iPhone charger didn't work
{which was the whole reason I got a 2012 and not a 2013...}
his & hers
reunited & it feels so good!

bat wings & life lately

In the anticipation of hurricane sandy's arrival in NJ,
I bring you an outfit post from school a few weeks ago.
good thing I have some on reserve because lets be real,
I am not wearing anything but sweats for this 5 day weekend.
What I Wore: glasses- Steve Madden, top-No Rest for Bridget {gift from my sister last year}, belt- was my dad's, pants- Old Navy, flats- Target.

In reminiscing of life lately, here is what I have been up to prior to being "sheltered in place" in my apartment:
pastas, cookies, fall decorations (BONE CANDLES!!), glasses collection, puppies, etc.

I prepped for Sandy by finally getting "The perks of being a wallflower",
the brown and black flats I have been meaning to get {$14 from Ross}
& 2 buck chuck wine & seaweed chips from Trader Joes
#prepared
Hope everyone is staying safe for Sandy!

week(s) in pics

Full of flowers, BIG bugs, quac, ultimate color blocking, pups, mulberries, ice cream, 50 Shades {yes I read them all} all of which scream summer!

Last night the sister stopped by & we got bent spoon in Princeton {best ice-cream ever.}
& some sampler beers @ Triumph.
It was an art show where the artist makes art of out cassette tapes, intend controllers, music sheets and wine labels. They were incredible {& very expensive. My favorites were the Audrey Hepburn & Marilyn Monroe-ish ones on the bottom =)

It is going to be 100 degrees today in good old Jersey,
hello summer!

Where have I been {last couple of weeks in pics}

I completed a couple things off my to-do-before-I-die list: 1. Wrote my name in cement 2. printed out all of my poems from 2004-now! I can't wait to get them bound {plan on it after I get married}

I also realized why I am so difficult-- it's all due to my birthday...

Found these origami birds after the students left for the day, couldn't help but snap a pic & take one home...

Wild flowers from "weeds" are my favorite & these tea bags are adorable & delicious.

& my dogs are crazy as always:
but there is nothing like coming home to a pug parade and a pretty bully girl =)
She is getting so big!

Love morning caps

especially when I have to cross a river to get to work...
Thank god for these llbean rain flats

 duck babies by the lake

"one of these babies are not like the other..."
How adorable is the albino one ;)

BTW I thought it was "April showers bring May flowers"
Last time I checked it was May & I don't live in Seattle... so stop raining everyday!
