Why the switch in routine you may ask (or may not)

I FINALLY got a real, professional HAIRCUT!

Can you believe it?!

I needed a shape to this weird mop/mullet I have been growing 

since I shaved my head in April...

First step was to gather some inspo

Wow time flies- when you are growing out your hair!

I shaved my head on April 10th during the (earlier) days of quarantine,

what a weird and surprisingly quick journey to grow my hair back...

I had such a good time filming it for some TikTok fun!

It has been 4 months and I have learned how to make my hair tolerable 

at different lengths (so far) 

with minimal trims to the mullet part that grows on the back bottom.

I have also learned that my hair is a darker brown than I remember it as a kid 

(before dying it blonde for years and red for years)

& I am pretty salt and pepper at this point, lots of sparkles as I like to call it.

An actual convo between my hubby & I:

Me- "We may be here for another two months, what are you going to do? You're losing it!"

Him- "No, I am fine, you are!"

Me- "I think I am holding up well, all things considered. Doing better than you."

I mean, he is not wrong.

I mean I have had quite a Hair Evolution over the last couple years, 

but shaving my head would be a check off my bucket list...

But I did shave my head, on Good Friday to be exact.

I did not go live but I did make a series of Tik Toks...

So yup. 

I did it!

I have always wanted to and I am so happy I finally took the plunge!

I mean what better time than a worldwide quarantine?!

Before -> Mid Cut Mullet -> Almost There -> Final Cut!

I have a couple of questions that I want answered from this experiment:
1. What color is my natural hair?
2. How grey is it?
3. WHAT shape is my head?!

All remain to be seen I suppose,
expect I am pleasantly surprised that I have a decent shaped head.

In the words of my Nonna (my Italian Grandma) who I faced timed
without telling her I shaved my head:
"OH MY GOD EMMA YOU SO BEAUTIFUL"
& that is all the approval I will ever need in my life

a willing transition with new hair & booties from Cleo Madison
