Mommy Mondaze :: Postpartum Favorites

Chapter 2:

Here is what saved my a$$ (sometimes quite literally) during postpartum:

Left Side:

Cotton Panties from Amazon- for use after the SUPER cute diapers from Amazon

Soft as Butter Labor & Delivery Gown in Leopard from Milk & Baby- wore this in the hospital after birth and it was great at home too, comfortable with access for breastfeeding

Secret Treasures Sleep Top & Shorts from Walmart- these are perfect for throwing on when company is coming over so you look put together and are still comfortable. Loose enough to breastfeed in too!

Bella B Nipple Nurture Breast Wipes got mine from BumpBox

Middle: 

Omron 5 Series Wireless Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor- this was given me to by the hospital after I had a slight blood pressure increase at the end of my pregnancy and they wanted to keep monitoring after. I found this easy to use and helpful to check in with my body.

Lansinoh Organic Nipple Cream for Breastfeeding- I swear by this stuff, I used it during pregnancy and every time after starting to breastfeed, **knock on wood** my nips have not cracked or hurt since.

Frida Mom Instant Ice Maxi Pad from Target- these things are A GODSEND, I ordered these by the truckload, the ones in the hospital are also good so take as many of those home as you can. These were the only things that made me feel better and gave me some relief

Tucks Medicated Cooling Pads from Target- these were not my favorite but they were useful  

Dermoplast Pain Relief Spray from Target- this provided some relief for the burning I experienced for like 2 weeks after delivery.

Right Side:

Inflatable Vinyl Cushion from CVS- I sat on this on the way home and for like a week at home on the couch and at the dinner table, helped take the pressure off

Sensi-Care Perineal / Skin Cleanser Spray Bottle- this stuff is so helpful because it is not like you can just shower every time you go to the bathroom...

Medline Cleansing Bottle- these were great for the shower, I think if/when I have another baby I will opt for the upside down Peri Bottle like the Frida mom one

Protective Underwear (aka diapers) from Amazon

A HUGE postpartum (and still to this day) fave 

has been the meal delivery kit Marley & Spoon.

We started doing this towards the end of my pregnancy and it was so nice to not have to think about meals and have recipes ready to be made without having to leave the house.

Everything we have tried has been pretty good if not great.

Especially the tacos (not pictured because usually eaten immediately)

At work we did a Secret Santa 

& we were asked to list a couple things we love and a couple things we don't.

These were mine: 

Likes- eyeglasses, pugs, fashion (leopard print in particular), sushi, beer

Dislikes- celery and country music

I think my Secret Santa nailed it:

Also got these three little cuties from coworkers!

I love the scent of this candle! 

I love giving gifts and my Secret Santa was no different!

My coworker Dorothy was my Secret Santa & I got her a custom portrait from 

HannahsIllustrations on Etsy!

It came out perfect!

After Charlie's photography reception I got to get even more of my favorite things 

with some of my favorite people!

Loved this Mikkeller "Extra Yum" beer, perfect amount of tart!

We went to Nassau Sushi in Princeton to continue the celebration!

I can't stress enough how amazing their sushi is, ESPECIALLY the spicy tuna!

SSDGM My Favorite Murder MONDAY!

I have been looking forward to the release of the "Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered" 

double memoir from the ladies behind the My Favorite Murder Podcast 

for about a year now!

I was so excited when my sister Audrey bought us both a copy!

There were a couple chapters that we already heard because Karen & Georgia 

each did a chapter live when we saw them in Baltimore!

{Pg 67 "Karen's Lecture On Self Care" &

 Pg 111 "Georgia On Kleptomania and Calling Your Dad"}

But perhaps my favorite chapter/page/quotes come from page 199:

Although I do think that the whole book (especially this page) is worth reading,

here are some of my favorite quotes from this page:

Winter Wishlist 18/19

Even though we are about to blink & the holidays will be over, 

winter is officially starting today!

Faves For Friday :: Tory Burch "Jessa" Loafers

I fell in love with these Tory Burch "Jessa" Mules that I listed at work at A Second Chance,

I love the horse buckle detail! 

{of course these sold right away on Tradesy!}

Of course the shoes at work were two sizes too big

 but they made me look into Tory Burch "Jessa" loafers
