Day 1 in Baltimore we went to the amazing My Favorite Murder live show
& we decided to make this a full weekend trip!
Day 2 we woke up to this cutie who was ready for lovin!
When Simon the kitty had enough of us loving on him we went to get bagels at Sam's Bagels which was right around the corner from our Airbnb,
I was pleasantly surprised how good these bagels were!
After we went to get a couple of chocolate covered strawberries from Berries By Quicha,
we had an Oreo one and a milk chocolate one and both were so delicious!
On Day 2 at least it wasn't snowing anymore... but it was still freezing
Our main goal of Day 2 was the National Aquarium because it came highly recommended
by my husband Charlie from his childhood memories
It was a little expensive (like $45 for an adult ticket...)
so we were definitely going to take full advantage!
I determined that this is me if I lived an aquatic life:
I love that this aquarium has an open concept so the whole time you can look down to the water:
I loved these two frogs just hangin'' next to this snake:
We went to the Rainforest and it felt wonderful in there since it was nice and warm!
& we saw a sloth!
Lookin' nice and dewey in the rainforest at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD
I am fascinated by the sawfish:
We were waiting for the dolphin show to start so we went to check out the jelly fish:
These creatures are so strange and graceful:
Doesn't this picture look like it could be a screen saver?!
We checked out a little gift shop and I was shocked that they still had these tube things that slide through your hands, such memories of school trips and getting these things stuck on your wrist...
Got a seat in the splash zone for the dolphin show!
Dolphins are such amazing creatures!
We decided to take a break from the aquarium and eat lunch at Phillips
upon a recommendation from our Uber driver from the night before:
upon a recommendation from our Uber driver from the night before:
We had some amazing chowders, oysters, crab cakes and scallops!
We went back to the aquarium to see the Australia exhibit:
What I Wore: glasses- Warby Parker, lips- Primark, necklace- Hunt & Orchard, sweater- second hand, vest- Shop Hopes, pants- Old Navy, booties- Target, bag- market in Thailand
After Australia we went to the main gift shop,
mainly to check out these shark print pull overs
that we saw on a girl at the dolphin show:
Audrey did pass on this hat though...
We had an awesome full day at the aquarium!
We decided to go out later that night to get some crabs,
I mean when in Baltimore you have to get crabs right?!
On the way to the restaurant we passed this amazing art on the side of a building,
I could not catch a picture of it but found this one via Google Images:
We got crabs at Fat Boys Crab Shack,
a dive bar with cheap crab, exactly what we were looking for!
This place would be so fun in the summer with outdoor dining!
We had the calamari and crab soup which were both good!
& ordered the clusters of Alaskan crab (MD crab is not in season)
Ate it all
& ordered it again!
We spent three hours eating crab.
Mission accomplished.
