On Monday, I went into NYC by myself for the first time ever!
I have been to NYC plenty of times, I absolutly love the city and I am comfortable there,
but being alone is a different experience.
I went into the city to meet with JBC Style about career options!
I'm looking to change careers,
so if you see any openings you think would be a good fit in NJ/NY/PA let me know!
What I Wore: glasses- BonLook, lips- OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick x Kathleen Lights in Miami Fever, necklace- BaubleBar, top- Target, blazer- GAP, pants- Anthropologie, heels- Target, bag- 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target
While people watching / drinking my Starbucks red cup in Times Square:
I had a quick lunch at HARU, a few simple sushi rolls, it was decent
Loved this Macy's Kate Spade home display, love everything about this!
Before I left NYC, I had to check out Duane Reade's makeup selection!
I fell in love with this RAMY eyeshadow in "Daisy Duke",
since I have never seen/tried this brand, I picked it up for 75% off, so it was less than $5!
Of course on the way to/from NYC I listed to a ton of podcasts,
one in particular that I found inspiring was the memory palace episode 76
called: "Mary Walker Would Wear What She Wanted"
about a revolutionary woman who wore what she wanted and broke boundaries in pants =)
I finally watched the documentary called "Iris" on Netflix
About Iris Apfel the "rare bird of fashion",
so incredibly inspiring.
She has such a great eye, and is quite the collector, no minimalism here!
Her relationship with her now late husband is so beautiful to watch,
this documentary & trip to NYC breathed new life info me.

Speaking of style icons, tell me this little girl dressed as "a cat lady"
is not my future offspring?
LOOK at those leopard glasses =0
