fur babies + fish pants

I loved this fortune that Charlie recently got:

Our little snowy bungalow for our family 🏡

Full of fur babies!
Arnold follows me around all morning

Then he sleeps all day on our heaters, all cozy!

As for the fur babies of the canine variety,
they are the cuddliest couple!

On my commute into NYC I was totally inspired by this woman who was wheeling her cat
through Penn Station...

I love that it is getting warmer these days, this is a bit of a flash back to a snowy NYC,
although there are still the grimy gray piles left around

Decided to rock my new Glasseslit glasses,
I asked my sister Silvia if she thought they were too much,
and she said, "No they are just perfect, especially for this outfit."
#shegetsme

What I Wore: glasses- Glasseslit, lips- Shaaanxo x bhcosmetics palette, sweater- Forever 21, pants- Anthropologie, booties- A+ Aldo x Target, bag- vintage Coach {thrifted}

When I get back from NYC, I am first greeted by this kitty cat
who must be able to read time or has a great internal clock
 because he away knows!

PJs and pug cuddles are necessary for some late night fashion school reading:

But the kitty goes right to bed and waits for us

He recently figured out how the blankets work and he is so funny

I have been loving this "Lifeline" song by Melvv:

Definitely added to my Spotify 2017 playlist!

New music makes Mondays more bearable 🎶

sister shopping date!

The perfect weekend includes a sister shopping date!
My sister Silvia and her roommate Syd were exploring the shopping at the Jersey Shore
& I decided to tag along.
I can't say no to shopping, let's be real!

We went to Hazel Boutique, they have expanded since the last time I was there
and it is such a pretty shop!

I love this sign "There are no strangers here... only friends you haven't met yet"

I love these painted designs on the floor too!

I also loved these little words project bracelets,
I have to pick one!

I finally got to check out Squan Dry Goods,
I have been meaning to go here for years!
This place is HUGE!
A must shop at the Jersey Shore,
but save a few hours to look at all their amazing selection!

I loved this vintage dress and this fur bag!
I almost took the bag home, still thinking about it!

What I did take home was this amazing women handbag patterned skirt,
Lucky Brand leopard booties that I have been wearing non-stop,
"Live What You Love" bracelet and these 😮 earrings!

Finished the shopping date at Jughandle Brewing

My sister and Syd went shopping at Squan Dry Goods the next day too
and they became my personal shoppers!

Syd picked out this skull cardigan that I absolutely LOVE,
and Silvia got me this 80s jacket that is freaking AWESOME!

Couldn't wait to put together outfits with these pieces!

What I Wore: glasses- Firmoo, lips- Elf "Rich Red", necklace- Gypsy Warrior, top- Forever 21, tank- Walmart, cardigan- Squan Dry Goods, pants- White House Black Market {thrifted}, flats- vintage Loeffler Randall

Loved my sister shopping date and personal shopping experience!
Happy Sunday Shopping!

Shop Girl Saturday: Back in Business {new Business Cards! Comparing Vista Print + Moo}

I made a big decision to update and change my business cards.
I also decided to separate my "Job Hunting" cards from my Blog/Shop cards.

I first made business cards in 2013
when I was hoping to attend that year's Texas Style Council,
which didn't happen because we had to you know, get married & stuff.

Those cards were strictly for my blog,
I hadn't even opened my Etsy InTheLeopardCloset shop yet!

In 2015, I updated them with my shops before I actually went to TxSC, also from Vista Print

So it was time to separate them out,
I stuck with Vista Print for my "Job Hunting" cards

Even updated my pens {I love these things!}

For my blog/shops I decided to try out Moo,
I have heard good things about them and was curious to try it myself.

I decided to make the graphics myself!
Glasses logo from Stephanie though,
She helps me with my media kit and sticker designs that I get from Stickermule}

I love how they came out!

Pros & Cons to Vista Print:

  • fast shipping- Ordered on 3/14 and arrived 3/18
  • lower cost, 500 cards for $27, pens are a little more expensive 10 for $20, but they last a decent amount of time and make me happy, order total $60
  • options for other items like bags, t-shirts, etc
  • build cards right on the website, come with graphics already built it, this process is a little harder to manipulate. For example, I couldn't switch which side would be the front to make sure it got the right finish which was annoying.
  • quality is decent, not as thick as the Moo cards
  • no options for different shapes or rounded edges.

Pros & Cons to Moo:

  • decent shipping- Ordered on 3/14 and arrived 3/27
  • higher priced, but higher quality (thicker, glossy feeling). 100 cards for $55
  • upload your own design directly or they have lots of different design options to choose from
  • design options are more "fashion and design forward", but no eyeglass designs for me ;(
  • can make different back sides for different cards
  • many different sizing options including "mini cards"
  • rounded or square edges available
  • I like the box that the cards come in, more sleek and protective to carry and give out the cards

Over all I am happy with both orders,
both have their benefits and disadvantages.

What do you think?
Do you have business cards, where do you get yours?

Any recommendations??
