Day 3: Wear it Wed on Vacay!

Something that my dad loves to do {or suggest} on vacation is to stay up all night and watch the sun rise together, I guess we are too old for all nighters but we did get up at 5 am to watch the sun rise!

It is worth it to see everything in a more "natural state", 

there is something about the morning that feels so fresh 

& we got to see a sea turtle!

& there was a pelican diving for fish, he was getting so close to us! 

& even on vacation Wear It Wednesday never stops!

What I Wore: sunglasses- hubby's RayBans, top- for sale in my etsy store InTheLeopardCloset fruit punch crop top {$15}, shorts- Cotton On, sandals- Target 

These sandals were a $7 score from Target before my trip & my mom pointed out that they leave peace signs in the sand when I walk! 

While taking a picture of my shoe imprint, I saw what I thought was a leaf but it was this yellow crab!

After the sun rise we decided to go back to bed for a few hours, 

we were on island time after all

{I think I am going to use this phrase in NJ too...

"Why are you late to work?" "Sorry I'm on island time"

I think it will work}

Day 2: St. Thomas, Day & Night Adventures!

Our first full day in Saint Thomas was nothing short of beautiful!

Ready for a beach day! 

What I Wore: sunglasses- hubby's Ray Bans, top- Deco Aurora, shorts- Cotton On, sandals- Sam & Libby for Target, bag- Tommy Hilfiger 

& at night "the kids" were on their own because the parents went out for their anniversary dinner! First we picked some flowers for mom & gave her a gift, this silver bracelet is so pretty!

While the parents are away the kids will play...

first we hit up a Cruzan rum tasting at the hotel...

Brought out the captain in Charlie... along with his new captain hat...

& our new friend Trey that we hung out with for all the activities at the hotel

We walked to the hotel next door to eat at CoCoJoe's 

Which needed up being one of the better places we ate while on vacation,

Off duty in a thrifted beach dress & glasses c/o coastal- the only ones I brought... 

Finished the night by watching the cruise ships leave the harbor,

Day 1 Vacation Recap! Getting to Saint Thomas!

Hello!  We are back from Saint Thomas, today is the first day of my trip recap! It was my first time getting out of an airplane on to the runway! 

Our room was SO NICE!

The view was incredible!

We went with my whole family for my parents 30th wedding anniversary! 

The whole hotel suite was perfectly decorated, the master bedroom was so cute!

Loved the view from my bed!

This perfectly decorated dining room set was one of my favorite parts of the suite

Outside our room was this big bush that had sun bathing iguanas on the top! {look closely!}

They were everywhere, 

on our first day I also got attacked by one while eating Frosted Flakes, he apparently wanted to share...

he grabbed on to the bag and jumped on my stomach... my dad saved me, no worries!

As soon as we checked in to the resort we hit up the beach!

What I Wore: sun glasses- hubby's Ray Bans {I forgot mine & only brought one pair of glasses... I KNOW... TRAGIC!}, top & shorts- Anthropologie, bathing suit- Mara Hoffman, sandals {not pictured but you will see later in the week}- Target, bag- Tommy Hilfiger, wallet- Milly  

I am obsessed with my Mani Monday for vacation for this week's Glitter and Gloss link up!

I got them done with a red sparkly gel from OPI 

& the pattern is similar to my Mara Hoffman bathing suit!

The hubby made a friend our first day on vacation, 

this little fly that he named "George" joined us at dinner and hung out all night, even took an open cab back to the hotel, but perished the next morning...

Finished out first night with a "Vine Night" in bed with all my sisters,

it was so good to reconnect with these crazy girls!
